Very sad, indeed, to read about Lynn Morris. I play this video very often and I would like to get me a copy of their "No Use Frettin'" album that's mentioned below. Any ideas on how to get it?
Sadly Lynn Morris had a stroke about 3 yrs ago, cannot play or sing anymore. She was an incredible banjo player, and lead vocalist with the City Limits Bluegrass Band in the mid 70's. They put out two abums, of which you should add to your collection. Finest rendition of Cluck Old Hen you'll ever hear...
I really miss Whetsone Run, playing at Hi-Way Pizza, and doing the Monday night Bluegrass show on WGMR!:) I think this song is off of their last album - No Use Frettin'
Bluegrasslibrary, your collection of videos is astounding !
Thanks so much for uploading this, Lynn Morris and Marshall Wilborn are two favorite singers of mine, I can only wish that there was more of them on youtube ...

This is the first time I've heard about the stroke...all the more of a tragedy in light of performances like this one.

Does anyone know the name of the guitar or mandolin player?
BluegrassLibrary 3 years ago
I seem to recall the band's long time mandolinist was Lee Olsen.
PVFlash 3 years ago
Right - Lee Olsen was the mandolin player and Mike Gorrell the long-time guitar player.
