Note the sheer strength of the wildbeest (young one though) even when it has a Chaatah hanging onto its neck. The other incentive for them to kill prey quickly is that the sooner the Victim is dead, the sooner it stops making a lot of noise, that invariably attracts others to the meal - most of whom are big enought to steal the meal from these two Cheetahs.

Cheetah aren't strong at all. There one of the weekest big cats there is. The reason they can take out prey that are so much larger is their' speed. All that momentum built up slamming into you is sure to leave you dazed for a moment, while the Cheetah is ripping out you're throat. Imagine a small bike with claws hitting you at 3-45 MPH, you'd be down for a while, and very vulnerable.

This is why I don't get why people would say humans aren't animals. Cheetahs run fast okay and they change their life that way by getting more prey than they would have if they were not. They are strong yes but compaired to other Felines they are pretty weak. The Panthera species (Lion, Tiger, Jaguar, Leopard), the Puma and Irbis (also called Snow Leopard, even though it's not a Leopard) are way stronger.
If you like predators check out the "Serval". They're smaller then the Cheetah but it's the most successful Predator Cat worldwide with 60% success on first try (other Felines at around 10%).
However. The Cheetah is for sure the most graceful of all Felines <3

@kababayanC2 Cheetahs need to eat prey to survive, they try to kill their prey as quickly as possible, unlike hyenas who eat them alive.
Humans breed chickens to be eaten, inject them with fat, place them in tight living conditions then butcher them .
A cheetah really has no option but to do this to survive, it's not cruel, it just has to be done or it dies....
And don't even asociate cruelty with the wild, it's a human emotion.

Humans are the reason cheetahs are brinking on extinction, humans eat meat themselves FFS, and this is all the cheetah has to survive on, fuck off with all this cruel shit, if anyone is crual it's humans, using up all resources of the earth, polluting the damn place, killing animals, expanding their habitat leaving no space for animals, disturbing the natural proccess!!! This is why I don't get why people would say humans aren't animals. Cheetahs run fast okay and they change their life that way by getting more prey than they would have if they were not. And humans are smart(ish) which changes our life by building structures and everything like that. We are not special and we need to get over our selfs.

They are strong yes but compaired to other Felines they are pretty weak. The Panthera species (Lion, Tiger, Jaguar, Leopard), the Puma and Irbis (also called Snow Leopard, even though it's not a Leopard) are way stronger.
If you like predators check out the "Serval". They're smaller then the Cheetah but it's the most successful Predator Cat worldwide with 60% success on first try (other Felines at around 10%).
However. The Cheetah is for sure the most graceful of all Felines <3

A bad thing? It depends which way you look at it; I mean I suppose we have cured many diseases, learned how to mend bones, learned how to fly like birds, or survive underwater.
However with those good things come overwhelming bad things such as: Causing the extinction of many species of animals, done immeasurably cruel things, and of course there's the hole in the ozone layer...
There's a distinction to be made between clever and intelligent, as a whole... We are just clever.

No, intelligence is something completely different, to be intelligent is when you can understand the future of what your actions will create. I'm not saying that there aren't intelligent humans, but as a race we are not intelligent.
You don't understand why it's a problem? The problem comes when we know better, that is why it is okay for a child to throw a tantrum in a shop but not for an adult... And not only that you have compared things that are on a completely different scale.

predators are not cruel. they do what they were born to do. a lion or cheetahs hunting for food so they can survive is not cruel or selfish. its the circle of life. its nature.
humans are cruel... some of us hunt for pleasure, for sport. thats cruel. we are MUCH different from animals. animals have a way of balancing each others population. humans dont. we just continue to multiply while using up natures resources which animals of all kinds depend on.

That's a bad argument, nature is cruel... Just because it'snature you can't say it's not selfish or cruel because it is. A male lion for example; when he takes over a pride kills the cubs of the previous dominant male, it is unnessesary but it is cruel... That same male lion will get first dibs on all the food any member of the pride kills; that is selfish.
We aren't different from animals because we are animals, we just do things on a more hygenic larger scale.

if a lion were anything like us, they would have compassion on the former males cubs. but they dont. its nature. to us humans it may seem cruel. but its not. its the circle of life.
everthing animals do is instinct. im not saying humans dont have it cause we do. but we also do things out of our emotion. its what seperates us from animals.

That's an assumption that lions don't have compassion, there is evidence to the contrary for example a lioness adopting a baby antelope and protecting it from other predators

@joshlazarus human males dont all have compassion for their babies either...some abandon their kids and have to be forced to pay child support (females do too)...some people even kill their kids wen it becomes inconvenient like the chick who drowned her kids b/c the guy she was dating didnt want them we're no different..humans prob mistreat their kids more than lions do look at the numbers in foster care children die from abuse everyday
