@loaf942 stop using a term that you have no clue about. "Reckoning Bomb" is a term used to describe the short lived ability for paladins to store infinite reckoning charges. After a paladin tank used it to solo Kazzak it was fixed in hours.
The imba melee class back in the vanilla was the Enh shaman. Windfury proccing windfury, people RAN when they saw a shaman with a 2h coming at them.

seriously, thats real good deeps, i mean 1200-1400 auto attack crits, every 2.5 - 3 seconds, shit 60s in vanilla WoW had 5-6k hp max... if you pvped one crit would already be 1/4 of a players hp, good shit!
well this was pretty much the best gear a ret paladin could ever get in vanilla (maybe a better wep but his wep is far above average) so considering that + he is doing holy damage on undeads.. not saying its bad dps just saying all the other classes in similar gear can beat his dps easy

The hardest part of Vanilla was that EVERY raid had a resistance component. MC/BWL Fire resist, AQ Nature resist, Naxx, Frost, Fire, Nature resist. Thus the difficulty came from getting people the necessary gear since some bosses were nigh on impossible without the resist. BC was almost as bad with the exception of Mother, no boss required an entire raid to be resist geared.
In addition, to all those people who say Cata is hard now... can you imagine what life would be like when only warriors were really tanks? Almost no raids used anything but warriors for tanks, let alone 5 man guild runs. 3 1/2 hour que time waiting for a warrior to tank... imagine that!
The reason Vanilla players think it is better and harder is 2 fold. One: Back in vanilla, everything was brand new... the world was epic. First time getting a mount for example was a huge deal. In WotLK and Cata, everyone rushed to 80/85 and then just sit in SW/Org waiting for dungeon ques. Two: Raids were harder because until close to BC, addons werent around. Certain classes were required and some classes (druids/pallys) were mainly used for 1 thing, so it was harder to get organized.

That was beautiful man. Vanilla wow for the win. I know you weren't using it, but Tier 2 Judgement Armor hands down for the win. I always carry that gear with me wherever I go. Hell I even carry it with me into ICC XD. It was so much harder back then as well with the level 60 cap. Naxx, Blackwing Lair, Molten Core All the Way!!

I've been playing since August 17,2005 and i remember watching this video. It inspired me to become Ret back then. I too was tired from all the noobs in the raid saying "heal me! Buff plz! LOL WARADIN" The song is perfect (Linkin Park - Somewhere I belong) for this video. You sir inspired me to go Ret and make all the doubters shut up. Even though I was holy in raids I would go as Ret in some of em and it was so fun. Thx.

shield of righteousness is only for tanks. currently, retribution uses crusader strike, divine storm, judgement, hammer of wrath, consecration and instant exorcism procs.
