I love this song too :D What i felt was that this was a song about Earth. The earth started off as some grains of intergalactic dust and gas and as it 'grew' into the earth it is today, it became 6300km. spinning at 23.4 degrees. It's friends (eg. saturn, jupiter) spin 'better' than it since they rotate faster and they also spin a greater distance as they are larger (eg. mars, jupiter, saturn)

Putting a couple of the theories together with what I got: I feel that Luka didn't like where she was (or the people she was with) and so she was spinning away to get away, thus the entire distance mention, and asking for the parting of ways since she was trying to be alone.

This worked and once she was by herself she 'looked down' and realized how colorful and interesting the world she left is, which is why she says at the end when she is done spinning she wants to be with her friends.

How I see it: In the begining Luka's whole world was black and white and she couldn't see the true meaning of things. Luka thought her friends were better than her so she tried to be better on her own while appearing to give up to her friends. And, once she became the best she looked down *2:50* and saw that everything was colorful. She realized that she was happy the way she was and her friends accepted her anyway so she returned back to 85 cm radius.
