  • Ok here is what Im looking for. I need a color enhancing filter. Im also looking for filters for outdoor cloudy/woniter days. Im wondering if there are any filters out there to make your photos have more contrast and punch to them?.

  • @heavenwithin81 the filter is called Photoshop :)

  • @heavenwithin81 try cokin system. there is lots of colour filters there. and you can use it on all your lenses, you just need a adapter ring if you have a few lenses in different diameter.

  • Hoya Circular Polarizing filter is not for reducing a glare. It lets to pass certain spectrum of light means changing the color balance of whole image. The bad thing is that the image live view defer from actual picture so you have to take picture first then look at it then turn at certain angle again then repeat this process. It's pain in a butt. I know because I have this filter. After 6-10 attempts you may finally get what you wanted. But it does affect a color. So. be aware.

  • lol @ the nikon cap XD, thanks for the review Ian, Ive been looking into this filter.

  • Hey where did you get it for 10$ ?

  • Why are you showing the plastic packaging???

  • Why did u choose that filter? Whats the difference between $17 and $70 CPL?

  • @GabrielW90 If you have an L-lens its like putting regular petrol into a ferrari, with price you get better quality, higher clarity. anti glare coatings can also be applied to more expensive filters. If you have a normal priced lens then the 17$ would do fine.

  • Are u malaysian?

  • thank you for the review.. but may i ask, did you notice any vignetting at the wide angle when you the put the filter on your zoom lens? and how was lens flare?

  • He gets sponsored by Canon, but not by Nikon. That must be the reason!

  • Might not be a very good lens to use it on...

  • :)))

what's the story of that nikon lens cap?:))

I don't get those kind of things...

my keyboard is logitech, my mouse is a razer, does this mean anything? I think not.

So what if he has a nikon lens cap?

I have a nikon dslr, what if i use a canon belt on it? Oh boy....

  • @damiresq All Canon users know that canon lens caps suck. They're difficult to mount and dismount, and i often smudge my lenses as a result. Every other lens maker puts the clasps in the center of the cap, but nooooooo, canon just had to take the cheap way out!!! they put theirs on the outer edge, which makes it impossible sometimes to hold on to it, especially when the hood is mounted.

  • @strobaholic thank you for explaining the reason! exactly why i abandoned the canon cap. the reason behind it is purely functional, no brand bias whatsoever.

  • @ianhyk My good man. Don't ever be ashamed of your Nikon cap.

  • @strobaholic I would be.. Canon all the way.

  • @KemmersFilms I also am a Canon shooter, but their caps SUCK. All the other lens makers have the mechanism at the center of the cap. I don't understand why Canon would have theirs on the outer edge. It's terrible especially when,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it's just terrible all the time.

  • I would rather spend few bucks extra for B+W filters. Much better quality than Hoya.

  • @1986Chaitanya Same thing IMO. I've tried both for comparison, and i see no difference. I got the B+W anyways, just because.

  • I just got one from B&H photo. How come my filter says "philipines" and yours' "japan" ???..Thanks for the video by the way...

  • @Madhu555 Many newer Hoya filters are being produced outside of Japan now. My earlier filters were all made in Japan but the ones my father bought recently weren't. Though I think the HD and possibly Pro1's are still being made in Japan. Just the cheaper ones are being made elsewhere.

  • yea i think that is a nikon lens cap looks like one anyways =)

  • is that a nikon lense cap?

  • Does this include UV filtering? I have a UV filter on my lens and wondering if a polarizer blocks uv aswell. Nice image comparison there, looks great.

  • nice Rewiev thx ! I've searched for a video like this ! 5 Stars from Germany ! :-)
