  • you must be retarded... thier should be no slack on the t-chain...

  • u voice sucks dude stop making vids

  • My first time setting timing on my 04 kx250f, i did it in 20 min. easy, there are timing marks on the crank sight hole and a plug to turn the piston over, how hard could that be? TDC is as simple as walking, if you're not plastered

  • hey.....i got an in-line 4 motor with all the valve lifters out.......i didnt remove them in the order they were seated....what do you suggest to re-install them.....

  • @ryongchoi Replace the lifters if you forgot to number them. It's way cheaper then tossing the motor from a broken cam. Be sure to lube them good and get some wear time on them.

  • all you're doing is checking there is no adjusting in this video whatsoever. the cams have to be removed to adjust clearance

  • You do not need nail polish there are timing marks in the cam sprockets, just get all slack out of your timing chain,

  • is that your nail polish

  • thank god honda run single cam

  • did you now that the stock cams the best if you buy cams stages threw 1 to 3 waist of money all u have to do is retard the stock cam and there u go a stage 2 cam

  • @wounderboy66 whatever your trying to say..

  • i just got done rebuilding the top end of my 07 kx250f and i didnt have a problem timing it. it took me 10 minutes at the most to actually time the bike.

  • yo dont show us how to adjust them ..

  • @vallisss -you have to measure and get the right shims and take the cams out and spring covers off...you cant adjust them like most bikes

  • this is an 04 kx250f right? ok so i have the same bike and when i kick start it unless its choked it wont start and when it does start if i even give it throttle it dies and i have let it warm up TRUST ME i have put about 45 hrs on the head though does anyone know what my prob could be? oh ya i have cleaned my carb air filter all the common sense shit

  • thats why you buy a 2 stroke in the end 2 stroke, 2 times better

  • @kibZ28 ya my first honda was a 05 crf250r and it w as a peace of crap, worst bike I've evr owned, my first and last Honda unless it's a 2stroke

  • Hey if you ride a 2 stroke you wont have to do all that 4 stroke bullshit.

  • @JustRide626 ya your right....you will just have to rebuild the engine every month on a 2joke.

  • @Ronixwake5656 Ya not really. 2 Strokes are WAY easier to maintain and just a simple motor. They dont have cams or timing chains or any of that. Id rather do a top end every so often then do this every weekend.

  • @JustRide626 I agree 2 strokes rule,,, The only good 4 strokes are the old honda xl and xr, you dont have to adjust valves every 100 hours like the new 3 strokes

  • hey you can go to a Low's can get a 3/4 steel nipple and use that works better then the needle nose use a 5 inch nipple .. well hope that helps u out man Good work too man i got a 2008 kx 250f that needs work the starting sucks takes like ten kicks to start it and like 10 mins after when its already warm up lol so yaa needs some lovin ! lol

  • Cam chain is too loose

  • why would you need to set timming if you didnt take it apart and you are such a noob with that feeler gauge..... YOUR just a kid who couldn't even rebuild your bike

  • @extreeeeeemist

Actually, he has rebuilt his bike...

  • nice i checked mine the other weekend :D

  • i got a new 09 kx250f and when i give it gas and go.....then when i let go while i ridding it kinda pops out of the exhaust idk if thats bad or not...

  • you need to adjust the air screw on your carb

  • Yo dude, it could be something as simple as the fuel mixture on the carb, backfiring or exhaust popping/FLAMING! is usually just your screw set too rich, if you set it really rich then you get 2 foot flames popping out of the back lol, but it's bad for the internals obviously. Try this but don't set it too lean as this can be worse in the long run. John.

  • dude setting the timing on this bike is a breeze done it a million times on all dirt bikes this one bare far is easy breezy

  • no sir, i guess you have never set timing on a kx250f. its VERY hard to get the crank lined up

  • @rushman160 use a socket wrench to move the crank using the nut in the magneto cover, never had an issue adjusting mine that way.

  • @hanarky not all motors are a breeze as you say, DOHC are all tricky and every manufacturer likes different clearance for valves. take the polaris predator 500 for instance. when setting the timing, the exhaust cam has to be set 7 degrees ahead of the intake cam wheel.

  • what does PR2 mean which you have carved into the head of your bike my bike has it too

  • the PR2 is the company who rebuilt the head and ported it

  • does this happen more often on this bike? i was thinking of getting one.

  • na, same as any other bikes, crf's need valve adjustments more than kxf

  • thanks man

  • @rushman160 Crfs need more adjustments because the intake valves are made out of titanium not stainless steel. This makes the bike rev out faster making the crf 250 a bit faster stock than other 250fs. Plus the unicam has less rotating mass.

  • @mxracer150r i noticed crf250s go a bit dead up top but yeah they have good strong torque all the way up til the top

  • @rushman160 helll yes they do and they eat valves alot more dont buy honda's i used to be all for honda untill oweing a crf 450 THEY FUCKING BLOW

  • @rushman160 only 04's got the bad valve problems

  • @rushman160 the 250s eat valves, but the 450's go for 80-100 hours if you ride it good

  • it has to be on top dead center

  • the man likes his nail polished
