Thanks for the update & I knew you had a lot of hair but I thought you had micro braids until you said it was your own hair in mini twists. Love them & your hair is really growing beautifully! Your hair looks great! Good to see you back :-) Tell me please - do you experience a lot of single strand knots when you twist your hair that small? I do, and my hair isn't as long as yours. And another question - how long do you keep your twists in before washing and/or taking them down?

I did not have too many knots while twisting....however, I did notice that when I was taking them down (as if I had medium size twist) my ends would try to knot up if I was not careful. I do not keep my twist in longer than two weeks. I wish I could go longer but my scalp ends up in need of a good washing due to product build up.

@leeoramassengill Ohhhh my hair can stay for 2 weeks without knotting and tangling if I don't wet it, but I go to the beach just about every weekend, so I guess one week it is. LOL

You're definitely doing all the right things. I'm beginning my "Protective Style Journey" and will probably just do them for the next six months. If I like it (which I'm sure I will), I will add another 6 months on.

You know what...Its been a sad journey for me growing my hair out natural b/c these past years, which has been 2 yrs that I've been natural, and I have not been treating my hair. My hair currently is down pass my clavical bone but Im not happy b/c Its can be much longer. I have curly natural hair. The side of my hair is a lil shorter, so I was wondering, u think I shld cut my hair off and start over? I got so many products now that I 've learned, mix chicxs, glycerins, oils, conditioners, crazy.

@flygurl025 I do not think you should cut your hair all off and start over. If you want to cut your hair for styling or shaping...something new, then yes. I have one side that grows a little different than the other, but I do not allow that to bother me because I know my hair is healthy. I know how you feel about having so many products.....between me, my girls and other natural family members, somebody is going to use them up...lol!

Do you also use some or all of the new products that you incorporated into your hair regimen in your girls' hair? I recently have started exercising more (three times a week which is more than me doing nothing) and I wish my scalp didn't sweat when I worked out. You are lucky! @smblyther Thank you! Yes, I do use the new products in my girls' hair also except for the deep conditioners....I still use V05 mixed with olive oil as a deep conditioner for their hair.
