I have a friend who is gay.......okay?? and he told me 4 years later after I met him in 6th grade. Since I was a baby till 15 years old in 9th grade I thought everyone in the planet where straight but that was because of the media and my parents... they kept that information and I learned by tv and internet!!!! I came out in high school when I was 15 as well! Only, I was 15... well, longer ago... It was kinda similar in that I went to a small, gossipy school. Also, I outted myself in class and years later foud out about the rumors. Only, my rumor had me calling the entire student body together into the auditorium to announce it there. Aren't rumors funy little things? Where do people come up with this stuff?
