actually spreek16 they do it's just that they have you fight a random metal charactor so theres a 50% chance you could have a metal mario fight.

If you mean in the emissary ... now that you say so that would have been cool...those subspace characters cant be compared to the metal characters u.u.

If you meant it overall then there is a metal battle against any character in classic mode.
