  • the movie on a whole a bit of a disappointment, but the performances by Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce make it worth the watch. They were just impeccable as Edie and Andy.

  • If people dislike the film so much then why are they bothering to search youtube videos about it? It may not be historically accurate and 100% factual but I think the acting and portrayal was superb.

  • Over many years, I had seen everything I could find with Edie (Beauty #2 Poor Little Rich Girl, Ciao! Manhattan) and I think Siena Miller did a brilliantly job Ms. Sedgwick.

The best Andy Warhol impersonation is David Bowie in "Basquiat"

  • I thought that Sienna really captured Edie's essence and the entire movie was very well put together- character choices and all. I am a big fan of Edie and thought Sienna played her quite well.

  • The narrator's voice is so dull ughh

  • hahah imagine her being your best friend, how boring,

  • i hadn't heard of edie sedgwick before i watched the film, and after seeing it i began to research edie and her stories and that, i became really interested, i think sienna's performance was a strong one, thats in my opinion, i felt quite emotional but i guess im emotional at most things hah,

    nice one;)

  • nicely said adamhalford

  • thats a little harsh ellora. i watched this movie not knowing much of anything about edie sedgwick. i thought she did a remarkable job portraying her. as for her pretending to know what she went through, obviously nobody knows but edie herself. but i think she has a better idea than most having researched the role and talked with her friends and family.

  • Factory Girl wasn't an AWFUL movie. If you haven't read any of the books about Edie, then I imagine Factory Girl is a more enjoyable experience. If you've read a lot about Edie Sedgwick, though, this movie turns out to be kind of a gyp. Read Jean Stein's book about her, it's fantastic.

  • I completely and utterly agree with you. If you watch FACTORY GIRL as just simply a movie and not a bio-pic then it's a great film. But if you compare everything in FACTORY GIRL to the true life of Edie, it's a little bit of a failure - still FACTORY GIRL is my favorite movie.

  • F&*^&^*,off,

You dont know Sienna Miller and how much time she put into the film plus the polotics

that say what is or wasnt a great film, opioions are like assholes everyone has one.

  • sienna miller's audition tapes are god awful. how she got chosen for this movie i will never know. rachel bilson looks soo much more like edie. either way though i think they had to exagerate shit to make it "hollywood worthy". i love how sienna pretends to begin to know what edie went through.

  • i don't think rachel would have been good at all. Nothing she's done is even that good...

  • What a woman! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

  • That is single handedly the dullest narrating voice I've ever heard.

  • absolutely.

  • I'm just sad that the movie was really inaccurate. If they had just bothered to check their facts, it would have been seriously amazing.

  • sienna's best performing

  • i adore edie sedgwick.

no, sienna miller is not her, but she played the role better than any actress i can think of.

    i loved the movie.

  • Same here, I just watched it a few minutes ago

  • yes she did! no one coulda played her better. i had to go watch that interview movie just because sienna was in it.

  • I'm a fan of Edie NOT really a fan of Sienna she will never be even close to what Edie was

  • But sienna sure tries to act like it with her little fashion outfits & people calling her the "it" girl which she really isn't...RETARD

  • But... she was playing the part!

Surely if theres a good reason to act like Edie Sedgwick then thats it?

You can obviously tell she cared about the role allot, in order to put that much effort into researching it.

I seriously doubt whether she considers herself to be the modern day equivalent.

  • but she's acting. that's the whole point.

  • what are you talking about? sienna is bigger then edie

  • Um...ok I'm sure lots of Edie fans would disagree with you there...

  • the voice announcer is awful...take a EFFIN hint.. youre not cut out for this kind of work VOICE !

  • Eddie Sedgwick was a syle icon, vulnerable, fragile and had a terrible upbringing. Be Realistic here guys. She was a nice girl cought up in the wrong crowd.

Sienna Miller playd a great role. I luved the movie, who cares if edie was smaller then sienna.. does it really matter? Sienna did a great job. Im grateful they even made a movie of Edie.x

  • Kirstenew! Agreed!

    Seriously, this movie was great.

It was as accurate as possible - i think.

And though not everyone is going to agree,

    whatever.

It just pisses me off that everyone is so negative and judgemental these days as if it's cool to be so?

    I don't understand.

But what matters most is this movie was fabulous - and so is sienna.

  • Oh come on, Sienna obvuously did this role because she believes she is as big as Eddie was...eg. style icon, skinny, actress...um..had lots of lovers etc! Well Miss Miller is deluded.

  • omg seriously you think sienna took on this role because she wanted to be like eddie? or thought she was as popular... why do any actors take on roles of famous people... because its a challange... youre deluded and annoying

  • I agree ladygunnison. No actors take a role because they want to be like them, when you're acting you are a totally different person and it's as if you are another person you freaks.

  • Lou Reed famously hates this film. It pretty much is a work of fiction. BTW, the woman doing this voiceover is terrible! Truly, I cannot bear to listen to her. UGH.

  • eddie had bulimia

  • i thought this movie was amazing and sienna did a great job

  • im sorry but that opinion seems so shallow and scathing. sienna miller is so skinny would you rather she had adopted anorexic and bulemic tendencies to play the part better? would that make her a more credible actress in your eyes? it's comments like this that keep the hype about skeletal=attractive going

  • well now when i read back on it, it does sound quite shallow, god, that was pretty harsh, but i still don't think she pulled off the part...her eye make up was also quite bad, but that's the make up artists fault, apologies, but yes she doesn't pull it off

  • this is movie smartass.

if you wanted an anorexic girl to do eddie your insane. idiot.

  • ok andy did use people. sure he could have been an ass, druggie, partier, whatever he was just go by your own opinion. i loved the movie i love edie.

  • What's the bet she didn't meet Lou Reed

  • There are several pix of her w/Lou & the Velvets.

  • A lot of Andy Warhol fans didn't like the film because it shows that ANdy used people

  • Andy did use people

  • i know he used people but most people who call themselves 'fans' of Andy said he never used people.

  • I dont understand how people say that either, but the film never said or showed that Edie Sedgwick was like Paris Hilton at all. The movie was pretty good in my opinion

  • edie is NOTHING like paris hilton. this movie didn't depict edie at all.
