  • I went to Boston to see this play with Richard and was shocked by his excellent singing. I really think he caught the true essence of this song better than anyone could have.

  • @spinynorman You're right, we do. I read Cervante's book a long time ago. Don Quixote

is very charismatic. You want him to succeed, but know he cant. My criticism of the song

is that its a bit too hyperbolic for my taste. Its ironic that one of my favorite quotes is from

"The Impossible Dream". "willing to march into Hell for a Heavenly cause" I think it describes perfectly the feeling you get when a kindness or gesture goes unnoticed. It's

    Quixotic.

  • back when broadway was actually good instead of stage versions of bad movies.

  • @usuberalles What the world needs is more Don Quixotes. People who's morals can never be corrupted. Don Quixote symbolizes purity and justice. However, he's also a very tragic character. He is a man who was once wealthy and powerful, but is now a poor peasant. And yet he still believes in "The Impossible Dream." Even though he knows it's futile, he still does good deeds. He doesn't believe the world is made out of candy and rainbows. Does Celine Dion have that kind of depth?

  • Ah yes. The 1967 Boston Red Sox theme song. The year of the Impossible Dream!

  • Tremendous performance
