It's my understanding that if you have/had a rotator cuff problem you should stop doing overhead presses. I would get advice from a doctor and/or physical therapist.
I tore my labrum in a bicycle accident when I was 12 years old. I went on to play varsity football and wrestle throughout my high school years, and I'd always be hurting my shoulder here and there. But after taking gold for heavyweight class my senior year in Guam, I finally got shoulder surgery. (6 years after initially tearing my labrum) **my shoulder still gets stiff once in a while** but it is much more stable and my strength is about 85% after 6 months of recovering... Still working hard i
jason, i feel ya bro, like you i'm a hard gainer and if i'm not training im fighting to keep any kind of weight. i've had 3 rotator surgeries in 8 years. not good. i'm currently 192 but it seems like afer every surgery i was back to 165. Glad you're headed back in the right direction. good luck!!
on 2nd week after surgery- Labrum and rotator cuff tear. Your video encouraged me to know that I am not 'done with'. Thanks bro, steve

@samurai- It takes a while. I'm over a year now. But like I said, I reinjured it a few times and set myself back.
@ shawn- It was years of stupid stuff leading up to it.
I explain more of it on my blog post from 4/27/10
@ fitwarehouse- Yeah, it can be frustrating. Thanks and good luck to you.
