  • are you wearing spurs in he photo at 2:55?

  • I would caution you from using the title "Parelli at its best." What you are doing does show some understanding, but there is more to Parelli than what you demonstrate in your videos.

  • how is she(the horse) i have a 3 year old gelding i just broke and i want to jump him. he is really smart and eger to learn.

  • So inspirational. I love

her exuberance. Your bond is really strong. How often do you get to play with her in a week, are you on Parelli Connect?

  • Wow, this is amazing. Ive just started having Parelli lessons and i am hoping to form a REAL bond with my horse just as you have with your's. This is amazing :) How long has it taken you to get his far? Well done xxx

  • @countrygalxP WOW truly inspirational!!! I am waiting for my getting started DVD to arrive in the mail, I can't wait to begin my *new* journey into Parelli horsemanship. I love the parts where you vault off and run along beside her, I think I would trip over my own feet if I tried it though....

  • great job!!!! this is amazing! how long did it take you to get to this point??? I just started Parelli with my horse and you and your horse are my goal! your bond is beautiful!

  • @sofiacassidy Ears back(not pinned) mean they're paying attention to you. Not that they're P.O.ed.

  • Very nice work! I love your horse's face marking. So cute!

  • I am absolutely not a fan of Parelli, but what a great job you and your mare have done! Keep up the good work! I grew up on a cattle ranch my entire life, and your girl would make one kick butt cutting horse! First time in years, I have seen a Parelli horse that can do something other than just run around like mad!

  • this video is awsome! YOU are an awsome rider and your horse is sooo cute! I have a horse she is a pinto paint!

  • Wow... what a great job you and horse are doing! Keep up the great work!

  • Loved both your videos. Just missing the music. Great relationship with your cool exhuberant horse! Well done my dear! Keep it up you have a great life ahead of you to play with horses. You know the commitment it takes and have put in it. I like your happy horse and all the fun you are having! I am level 2 student and can't wait to get here. It will take time and that's great becasue the journey is half the fun.

  • Your so good at parelli! Me and my horse are no where near as good as you!

  • Amazinggg video xD My horse, Tucker is also trained in Parelli, but I just want to ride my way, and not switch to the Parelli way. But your video makes me want to switch to Parelli :)

  • Great horsemanship girl! Don't let that one silly negative comment bother you at all! I can see that your mare truly enjoys playing with you :-D Keep havin' fun kiddo!

  • too bad the music is taken off, but still it's amazing. Trying with my horse too, but we don't have the space to do that kinda stuff

  • too bad my music was taken off =/ it was like 85094385403540X better.

  • you can bring it back. According to the US constitution, as long as you're only using it for education and/or comparison and commentary, you have the right to use music. That's how I got my music back. Just check out the summary of my video 'nightmare to a dream'. I'm pretty sure I put the article of the constitution needed on there.

  • The next Stacy Westfall :)

  • Please put your other video back on. It inspires and just starting Parelli Im a little discouraged. But watching you reminds me it can be done. Thanks, Awesome Video!!!!!!!!

  • i cant find your other video - have you taken it off, please can you put it back on - thanks

  • What happened to your other video?!

  • I love how you jumped off and you ran withvyour horse oh mi

  • My dear, you are having entirely too much fun! Don't you know that horsemanship is serious business?! Oops...wait...that was the old, pre-PNH me. :D What I meant to say is, "Keep up the good fun!" And remember, the most important judge, as you know, is your horse. Her opinion of you (very high) is quite clear to any knowledgeable person watching. :D

  • You and your horse are amazing - truely inspiring - watched both your vids last night & as a result today I had one of my most fun & connected play sessions! Welldone on all the hard work that goes into developing a relationship to this level! Brilliant to watch!

  • You have a very lovely horse and are an extremely good rider!! Can't get over how well trained he is!! Great vid!

  • I love this video, too. And the videography is definitely not bad. I won't even say anything about the ears and the bucking, aside from, if you don't understand it, then you don't understand horse expression on a very deep level. BEAUTIFUL relationship and I really admire the fact that you are introducing barrels the right way. Lots of horses get ruined that way--or at least it's hard to do anything with them beside run.

  • Now, THIS is what the world needs more of. I commend you on the quality of your harmony and horsemanship. The work you have put into the relationship really shows, keep up the excelent work! ;)

  • amazing it inspires me to move into level 2.

beautiful horse, the bond is immense. whatever that means haha.

and this horse with its ears pinned is just spunk. I love this horse for its expressive personality! a horse with its ears up isnt listening to you most of the time, everybody knows that horses with there ears back are extremely attentive. and i dont know about u but I didnt see a tense horse anywhere in the video.

    is this a barrel horse???

she acts just like my mare. just curious.

    :D

  • Yes she is! I'm training her on barrels right now, I'm takin it nice and slow and easy. Haha you and me both know 99.9% of those barrel horses are crazy and insane. So I wanna keep that parelli horse inside her, but still be that kick butt barrel horse that I've been craving for her to be. Well see how she turns out!

Slow and right beats fast and wrong ;]

  • i love love love LOVEEE it!!

  • wow your horse love you and you love your horse ....good horsemanship

  • I have been working with Parelli on my mare, Mariah, she is doing really well. We are moving onto Level 2 right now. My horse is an Arabian, she really loves to run around. Thank you so much for posting this vid on. Your other one is amazing too!! i love Parelli. I only wish i could afford to go to one of there clinics!!!

  • And something that every cutting and working cow horse trainer learns early on is that horses that are focused intently on an activity that they regard as playful, like working at speed and "mirroring" a cow or a human, generally pin their ears. It's a much-desired trait in cattle work.

On your second point, in Parelli Natural Horsemanship, our horses are still allowed to play at liberty and have an opinion.

Perhaps you should post a video and show us how it's really done.

  • It's not that he's unhappy; he's being introduced to strange objects that is un natural and to him, these stuff would never occur to him in the wild and that's why he's tense. This was made not to perform tricks, it was made to allow horse and human to work and face there fears over everyday object's that might frighten horse, or end up hurting the rider. Don't post if you don't know!

  • If you're going to post your opinion, please back it up with real facts.

Yes, my mare pins her ears back at certain times when we play around. But like pony girl said, when a horse cuts, generally their ears are back. It doesnt mean their mad. Look at high top champion cutting horses, barrel horses, roping horses, they all have their ears back, but man do they love their job.

Obviously there is a bond between my mare and I, don't judge and say there aint just because of her dang ears.

  • A horse will point their ears wherever their attention is. Surely, SofiaCassidy, you can't object to that? When we're on their backs, where else are they going to point their ears to show that they are paying attention to us?

  • Its lovely to see how a relationship between horse and human can be :) Im starting parelli with my 4 year old, Ive just got to get it out his head that just because I have a stick doesn't mean he's going to be lunged!and that lunging doesn't mean 100 miles an hour!

Thanks for the videos, it's something to watch when he's just nearly pulled me over as he rushes to the end of the line because I dint let him walk right up to me. :)

  • wow you are really amazing, ive always wanted to do natural horsemanship.

  • This is Awesome!!! Well done This is an a insperation to me and my Riding School come and visit us in South Africa!!!

  • great! i'm your biggest fan :)

    great work.

  • Noice!!

Can't wait to see you guys turnin' some barrels!!

    :)))

  • Weldone you really are amazing! do you go on courses or work through the packs? =] x

  • I work with the packs :)

  • Great job! Parelli horsemanship is creating a bond with your horse of communication; watching your horse, reading your horse, and communicating in a more natural way without side reins and tie downs and even bits! It's understanding what kind of horse you have, what type of communication with work best for your horse...is your horse more scared, is your horse a poke, is your horse high energy...

  • don't understand parelli, i can't get a good explanation out of it from anyone...what is it and how do you learn it? looks great tho!

  • wow,that was great

  • You and Mariah are such a great inspiration for me.Thank you.You have lifted me up once again.
