  • How much power does either of the Atom boxes in this weeks IDL consume as If I were to do something like that, then power would be a major issue...

  • conclusion...atoms sux...get a amd e-350 mini-itx, 1080p would be good. although amd drivers sux.

  • @monstercameron that is what my media center/home server is geting 1080p is i bit of a pain i think it's the drivers it should have the power.

  • @RobLoach Oh there was a couple other issues too, kinda a shame I don't recall all of them because I shot this episode in multiple parts.

    Part of it was, I did not want to use that ATI card. I wanted to use the onboard video, because it had HDMI w/working audio out. And it was silent and low heat that way. But that board in that build could only play 720p content.

    But the same board, but with an Nvida ION chip, could get the job done.

    run a beefy setup and never worry about hearing it.
