@yesac101 Yes! Hold that filler rod at the center and not move it. Walk with the arc on the filler rod. No the tungsten can be pointed, but not like a needle, and the point is then blunted with 1/4D (Diameter of electrode). And taper 2D. This method has more penetration and weld pool has a better fusion. Also the grinding marks on the taperad area must run in a lenthwise direction. This method of grinding ensures the best current carrying characteristics. Thanks and nice work to you, too.
@fredvgarcia thats what id like to know, from the look of the end of the joint there is a bit of suck back there but, the edge to me is no indicator of the rest of it cos the end takes the most heat
@wwwracingpartsro Hello friend from ROMANIA, Thanks for watching my videos. Yes this technic is more effective because I have all control of pool weld. Greetings from BRAZIL to you.
I've commented on some of your videos before. I just wanted say you've got pretty much the best TIG welding videos I've seen so far. Thanks for posting!
@TSorovanMHael Hello Friend! Thank you for your encouraging words. I'm doing new videos about welding in ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. Soon they will be here on youtube. Greetings from Brazil to you.
@hybelkan1nen Hello Fiend! Thanks for watching my video and advice. I'm doing some videos on welding of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. In these videos will be showing some techniques as weld them. Wait that will soon be on youtube.
Gostei do video.
QUESTION. Thats a good weld but that was a long time for only about 5in. Could you get the same results just running hot and fast? I still in the training process so ask a lot of questions. Great Video!
Hello Friend! Thanks for your comments! Yes! You are right! It's possible running hot and fast so I get it the same results. Feel free to ask what do you need. Greetings from Brazil for you.
@mpack69 Hello Friend from CANADA! Thanks for your comments and to watch my video. My daughter just move to CANADA. For filter camvideo use a lens shade number 12 or 14. Seldom I pointed the tungsten electrode as a needle. I grinding to a point electrodes used for DC welding, and the point is then blunted with 1/4D (Diameter of electrode). And taper 2D. This method has more penetration and weld pool has a better fusion. Greetings from BRAZIL for you and have a nice welds.
I Must agree with Zanzurex. This is the best demonstration video i have seen on YouTube. I`m also a TIG welder. I am doing it for 3 years now. most of it aluminium. I really enjoy TIG welding! i would like to see some more of your video`s, Greetz from a Brazo from Holland. And great you write in Englisch.
Thank you very much for your words and comments. Dear friend from holland I saw in your cannal that you seems like of BRAZIL. This made me very happy. If need any question, please mail-me. Greetings from BRAZIL for you.
Brazilwelds. You have by far the best welding demonstration videos on youtube(and ive seen a lot). Great to see the weld through the lens and the materials and technique listing. If you have time could you post some SMAW techniques as this is the process im practising. I know I would learn a lot and im sure others would learn to from someone with a lot of welding experience. Excellent videos on TIG. Thanks for your time in making them. Great stuff
@zansurex. Dear friend from Ireland. Thank you for your words and thanks for watching my videos. Soon I'll post some videos on SMAW and GMAW. Greetings from BRAZIL for you.
Yes! Was an argon Purge. Because the thickness plates was 14 Ga. (2 mm). I used with help of a partner a trailing shields argon purge from the beginning to the end of the welding, for protected the back side of joint from atmospheric contamination and form oxides. When I weld the back side of the joint, will be easier to weld. Greetings to you from BRAZIL.
are you holding the rod at the centers edge? also is your tungsten balled on purpose? thanks and nice work?
