Geoff Sanderson was one of the most under-rated players of this time. Great speed and scoring ability. He was my favorite player growing up watching the Whale. Thanks for posting this.

I was a season ticket holder for 6 years(Section 110) and way before the threat of the Whale leaving, the Civic center averaged 14, 598(sell out for Civic Center) BUT they had NO SKYBOXES period! Gary Bettemen RUINED Hockey in Quebec, Hartford, Winnepeg and......Raleigh is HURTING financially even with their Stanly Cup! Compuware is HURTING and looking to sell for the right price.

True that ! The Panthers, Ducks, Thrashers, and Predators have to go. Whalers, Nordiques, Jets, and put a team in Wisconsin. Why not ? Wisconsin is the best state not to have a hockey team. That should change. I think the Coyotes, Stars, and Lightning can stay. But thats it. Kings can stay too.
