Scotland should always represent itself across the board in sports. No where else would your national team switch depending on what sport you where playing. In Football France are France, In Rugby France are France, In Tennis France are France in the Olympics... you see where I'm going.

A break up of the UK would strengthen our position, as at the moment other countries argue that UK should not have 4 teams playing. Just as a GB team at the Olympics will threaten Scotland independent football identity.

A break up of the United Kingdom would lead to the British Football Associations losing their veto power over developing the rules of football.

At the moment our 4 FAs have 50% of the vote along with FIFA having the other 50%. FIFA would love us to lose our veto power over changes to the rules at IFAB which is exactly what would happen if Salmond got his own way.
