I was so overcome with emotion after I watched it that night. After all of desperate pleas for having children and to be loved, he finally got his wish. He grew up in that episode. I just wish he grew up over a span instead of one episode. Still, THE best Office moment ever.

And why does everyone like Jim and Pam's proposal so much? "Proposing in the rain"? That is so diamond-commercial. Once they showed them in the rain I could smell it light years away.

@pinkfoundglory Michael's proposal had to be over the top for it to be believable. He's dramatic and was so desperate to find love, he was a little bit of a love slut. The writer's did a good job because I really believe he loves Holly and this proposal was really sweet. But NOTHING tops Jim and Pam OR the way Jim loves Pam. Their whole relationship was unconventional and Jim's proposal didn't need to be over the top as long as he got the girl in the end :)
