Look, I love Heath's performance, RIP. IMO he deserves a posthumous oscar. But considering the depth that everyone involved gave Gotham onscreen, not to mention the 70 year history, the Batman/Joker legacy should not end with Heath either. Besides, the comic book Joker is a psychotic schizophrenic whose personality changes like the weather; a valid excuse to explain another actor's take in a sequel. I think Johnny Depp has the skill and know how for this instead of the Riddler.

It would be damn hard to pull off Mr.Freeze in Nolan's series. I keep thinking of Arnold saying "Cold, ice cold, winter, freeze, ice cold, snow. ice! Let's kick some ice!" i mean, it would be pretty darn hard to make a maniac Mr.Freeze. but Nolan pulled off the Joker, so he prolly could get to Mr.Freeze. Let's just hope he doesn't do a Schumacer.

But the Joker is already crazy. Mr. Freeze is supposed to be serious, and "Batman and Robin" sucked balls. It wouldn't be nearly as hard to do Mr. Freeze well. Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger both played the Joker well, considering he's a very hard character to play.

The nolan Batman series is darker and extremely realistic. It'd be pretty hard to make Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, or even Killer Croc to be portrayed as realistic...
