Or maybe your secular "history" book didn't cover the atrocities of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Pinochet, Ceausescu, Il-sung, Amin & Franco (to name only the more well-known)? What about the "godfather" of them all, The French Revolution, where man boasted, "God is dead."?
It matters little what religious affiliations a man claims for political purposes-- Hitler was no more a Christian than Obama or Bush.
