I read a book that covers each Beatles song that Paul wrote this song about him and Linda. Maybe by this time the Beatles should have taken a year long hiates to "dry out" from the pressures of them group and maybe come back fresh and see what they want to do. After they broke up and did their solo work in the seventies, they as individuals had nothing to prove. I feel they were stronger song writers when the played off of one another.
