  • hey can u tell me does gameplays from games breaks any copyright?

  • @tester235874 it depends on the game...GTA is an ultimate copyright breaker

  • @Jon3800 how will i know what games i can record?

  • @tester235874

It depends what game you are planning to record and you have to use your judgment.. Generally Nintendo games are okay for copyright... but you can't play games like the GTA series, Saint's Row or any game that uses real music soundtracks.

Also with gaming, I explain this a bit in part 6...it's not always easy to get partnerships with this because it's not original enough to them.

  • @tester235874

In other words, you can't simply play the game and expect to get into the program... You have to do something different that defines who are you as a user instead of someone that has uploaded a similar video. If you go through my videos...I upload games...but I provide an educational commentary added to it that's engaging and fun to listen to. that's what you what have to do

  • @Jon3800 i would add commentary but the thing is i dont know english REALLY GOOD and as i saw it on other videos that people complain about everthing. But if i do commentary what do you think will it break copyrights on GTA then? Thank you very much for replieing.

  • @tester235874

well you can use your native language. Well Personally GTA is a game I wouldn't be making videos on. Its a copyrighted game because of the radio stations that are used.

  • @Jon3800 if i use navite language it will never get views beacuse its small country. What if i mute songs from game(not sounds only songs) will i break any copyright then? Im thinking of starting with Skyrim, what do you think about it?

  • @tester235874

you probably going might get away with it...but like I said "video game channels are very difficult to partner" because many people that are doing it. You're kind of asking the wrong person because more than 80% of my videos that I upload are on educational tarantula vids. I do upload old nintendo games (megaman, mario) from time to time, but I don't make money off it

I'm not sure about Skyrim since I never heard of it, looks like a zelda game. Suppose you can do it

  • Hey Jon, I was wondering since I am under 18 my mom would have to sign in for me. Do you have to put in any Social Security Numbers?

  • @Bigctfc

    no you don't

  • @Jon3800 Alrighty, thanks for the extreamly speedy reply!

  • @Bigctfc

    my pleasure

  • can i be parnter and not getting payment?

  • @happyhatshow

yes, just don't monetize. But it kinda defeats the purpose of getting one.

  • @Jon3800 1 more question , can one partner make one user partner?

  • @happyhatshow

No. Youtube partners people, not other partners.

  • @Jon3800 thanks <3 :)

  • What if I uploaded a OST by a gaming company but I gotno Content ID matches?

  • @alienz194

You shouldn't be uploading OST even if theres no content ID matches. You can't partner videos with copyright content

  • @Jon3800 Even if they gave it for free?

  • @alienz194

Even if it was free, You would still need the permission from the creator to use it If you are revenue sharing (ie making money off that video). It also depends on how you use the OST and how many times as welli. There was a partner a while ago by the name TimmyTurner'sDad that had his account terminated. He had gotten a partnership by posting videos solely OSTs from games like Mario Galaxy and the sort. You can use it here and there but you cant be uploading this too often

  • @Jon3800 I only used it once. It's ok right? Also, thanks for the info, You are a great help! :D

  • if i did get in somehow, i would of not been able to because you have to put info in to get revenue to credit card.

  • Dude i hope you knw that the other channel box for advertising other channels of for anyone im not a partner and i have it

  • @Shortninja66

fully aware of it. This video was recorded in 2009, there has a LOT of changes since the video was taken, namely partial partnerships, advertising other channels as well as 10+minute video upload rule that was exclusively for partners lifted.

  • hi i would like to confirm my account for the youtube partnership program but adsense is telling me i have to follow the instructions in the invitation from youtube to monetize my videos but the final step of the conformation process is to wait for the conformation from adsense please help

  • @TheCyiGuy

there's nothing I can do...just wait for them to confirm, or check your emails

  • @Jon3800 i keep getting emails from google adsense because they're saying i dont have domain ownership of the URL i provided.... btw in the URL place i put in the link to my youtube channel because i was approved partnership status today but i cant complete it due to the last step where i have to link youtube with adsense... please help me out if you can :(

  • @TheCyiGuy

I would try making a weebly account or photobucket. That's the best help I can give you. It's been ages since I got my partnership

  • @PowerGloveGaming99 they understand with the way he uses them. he still makes his own original videos..... along with the other ones. hard to explain.

  • @PowerGloveGaming99

    He'll eventually be caught

  • Why i cant be a youtube parthner ? please help meh

  • Does this cost money, and/or give you money for posting videos?

  • @QueenHayley

If anything, this program costs some time and patience to get accepted. Like I mentioned in my 6th part of the series, It is free, and they pay you a portion of the earnings when your video is viewed and the ads are clicked

  • @Jon3800 Thanks! ^^

  • hello. is greece in the youtube partnership; if somone know plz tell me. tnx

  • @evaMarav

Eva, Greece is not available yet for the partnership. As of recent , its for now only available in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, South Africa and the United States.

  • @Jon3800

i cant anderstend why we from greece cant be! i try so much here, is so sad :( thank you for your massage.

  • @evaMarav

because they need to expand...It will appear in due time. Before I got my partnership in 2008 only Canada, US and UK were available

  • I was a part partner for two of my videos..but they removed me because of click activity! I have 16,089 channel views...261,607 total upload views...50 videos...348 subscribers! I was wondering if i removed all my videos that have copyright in them...do you think i can apply from my channel again and be able to become a full partner?

  • @MonterrioJajuan

Its possible provided you dont have any strikes

  • why does Youtube post full names of people without there permission and when flagging them they seem to create a new search link instead of deleting it....i've seen nice peoples names defamed by this site so becarefull check your own name on google search link it might be used on youtube and if it is they will never take it down !!!

  • @deanmattt

Dean, when your applying for a partnership, you have to submit your full name and address when you sign up for a Google adsense account, which ties up to your youtube account. Since Youtube is owned by Google, that is why the names appear.

  • Jobs in today's economy might as well be called slavery but youtube can enslave a lot of hopeful souls into creating painful original work only to realize that the careful coaxing of the youtube sheep has already gathered them to places like Shane Dawson TV or Fred who have locked the youtube sheep up in that void of self profiling popularity prophecies.

  • @Jon3800

I have waited for months on my 3 accounts... and... i'm still waiting...

  • I've been working to be a partner for 2 years now and would really enjoy being one. please help me by seeing my new video on my channel. :)

  • DNA Sexing for Birds . o_o

  • When i Ever Click the link, it re-directs me to my Youtube page, Help?

  • @IImSultan

Sultan, they removed the link. Youtube will invite you to become a partner if they like your channel

  • @Jon3800 not true... its because your country isnt supported

  • @HaatoSK

not true. Read the Partner Help Center. It will tell you it's invite based only. How can this be true when in Canada the partner program is available and I am indeed a partner.

YouTube Partner Program is only available to users in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, South Africa and the United States.

  • @Jon3800 thats what i said.. its because its not avablieve in his country... i also cant go on that site because it is not avaiable in my country but i can ask friend or someone abroad... living in supported country and he can do it for me :)

  • @HaatoSK

oh ok. Sorry bout that :)

  • @Jon3800 yea :) so are you living from money made on youtube ?

  • @HaatoSK

One months pay from youtube is equivalent to buying 1 weeks worth of groceries. So I can't live from it. I work 2 jobs

  • Comment removed

  • do u hav to be invited?

  • @therevz35

Yes, since youtube has done away with applications unless you can access it.

  • lol tried 2 times now still cant get it

  • and ur soo fucking sexy

  • do u need to be kinda famouse ????? plz message me on what u have to do (step by step)

  • @HalfNETS

there's annotations in the videos at 1:00 linking to that the video and to the other 5. All you need to do is click it :)

As well I know that 1236 videos is a lot to search for, but there's a playlist I made a while back with all the 7 videos on how to become a partner

  • @HalfNETS

Correct..because I took the time to record all these videos and upload them and requesting permission from people if I can upload videos of me playing their game, and making it on my own perspective.

You have to read my messages more carefully because I did say there's an annotation box 2 seconds at the start of this video telling you the basic requirements. These numbers are NOT set in stone.

  • @HalfNETS

if the link doesn't work, im afraid so

  • i got 1 sub :(

  • So i just found out a got ads on two of my videos!! Should i apply for partnership!?!?!?

  • Do you really need your own website to apply for partnership?

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

you can try. But I think they did away with applications.

  • @Jon3800 um what do you mean they did away with applications? google adsense just approved my videos.

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

meaning they switched to invite-only. I take it youtube personally emailed you to put the ads on?

  • @Jon3800 yeah youtube emailed me i had a banner on my main page to enable the ads on

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

if you have the option of choosing revenue sharing all your 21 uploads AND have the options to make a banner on the channel page, video page and on the side column image, then you are a full partner..

  • @Jon3800 aww man youtube just gave me the option to enable revenue sharing two of my videos and i dont really like em...how do i get that option? it just appears..i have better videos that should have the option. i really wanna be a partner.

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

you keep building up your channel, youtube will notice and will invite you

  • i have two videos with only hundred view count that have the option to enable revenue sharing which took me to create a google adsense account. will i still have ads? i only have a thousand subscribers and i am not ready to apply for a partner.

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

    yes. sign up for adsense

  • @Jon3800 Sweet i did a couple of days ago. i have to wait two weeks they sent me an email. I wonder if im eligible to becomeayoutubepartner I just need a video with a thousand views right? i seen partners with low view counts on there videos. i wonder if i can still get paid with google ad sense on my two videos which i have no copyright. I have no idea how it had the option to enable revenue sharing it just appeared im waiting to apply to be a youtube partner but im scared of getting rejected.

  • @TheDreamAlchemist

no, you do not need a website.

You need more than just that one video with 1000 views. You need videos, and your channel needs to be heavily trafficked, people going in and out checking your videos all the time consistently. It does not matter how many views you get. Take a look at my videos, you'll more than 60% of them have less than 1000 views. You still get, just not much

  • ever time i go to apply its not working help

  • @HDProductionsPs3

it's not working because the applications have been long since gone. It is now invite-based only. Youtube will check your channel to see if it's good for a partnership

  • You say like " You gonna wanna reach 200 000 views" but There's a lot of YouTube partners with just 100 000 views?

  • @AndTuts

criteria are different. You need more than 100,000 views I can tell you that. I first applied when I had that... was rejected.

  • @Jon3800 But I've seen parnetrs with like 26 000 views in the list of Swedish parntners

  • @AndTuts

Its not very likely. They probably had to get over 100,000 initially to get it and they probably easily removed their old videos. Removing videos does lose their total views on your channel page. I can delete 90% of my videos, with a low count of videos views and can still be a partner

  • How to get copyrights of my own video?

  • @opxian

You have your copryrights if its your original content. You can flag people if they steal your particular video

  • do i need a google adsense account to become a partner?

  • @Disgle

    yes you do. Its required

  • Comment removed

  • @abbyartsy78

if you have good, original videos, you will have a good chance

  • @Jon3800 Ok! thank you

  • Can you become a youtube partner even with a couple of video's with copyright problems? I've got a vid with 100 000 views, but it's blocked in several contries because of copyrights...

  • @Larsnero14

it's hard to say but the majority of your videos have to be yours.

  • I Know i don't have the requirements but i just need to know something, when i go to the link the partnership page does not show up, does it only show up when you have the requirements?

  • @AirCreation100

It should be showing up. Youtube has changed it's policy and it's supposedly they go on your channel and personally invite you.

  • Check out my channel, can I apply for the Partner program?

  • @CanYouTouchMeWhereIP

This is strictly my opinion...as I don't send out the invitations. You need to work on some stuff before applying.

    1) For your tutorials, you should get a microphone and speak rather than type what you are doing, this eats up a lot of time.

    2) You need more views . Like in the 150,000+.

    3) Avoid uploading soccer videos. Its considered copyright infringement, since this is not a video you made, and it doesnt sit well with applying.

  • @Jon3800 Thanks! Is the amount of subscribers / channel views fine?

  • @CanYouTouchMeWhereIP

both are fine. subscribers do not count towards partnership. Its originality and creative videos created by you that gets you in.

  • @ShannaKayeNoble

of course you can be a partner...at least not yet, since you just joined last week and have 1 video...you need to build up your channel, with fresh videos. It took two years for me to get offered the partnership

  • If you want to become a partner check out PartnerAlliance's channel.

  • i never get enough views :(

  • @ozzyrandomize

add more tags to your videos

  • Do i still have to sign up to google adsense even if i connected my youtube with google? like youtube annoyinly bugged me to do

  • @saurianzerker

Google adsense only tracks how much money you make. You do not need to sign in to adsense when you connect to youtube. BUT if you truly want to become a youtube partner, signing up for an account is a requirement.

  • I'm a youtube partner now. I just got accepted. If you guys have any questions on getting accepted, drop me a channel comment. These ppl aren't specific enough.

  • how can you apply for partnership ???

  • @SeLfMadeHero133

there is a link on the video description

  • @Jon3800 it asks me a lot of stuff like 'company name'. do i have to have a company to be a partner? or can i just type in some random name?

  • @SeLfMadeHero133

you do not need a company name

  • @Jon3800 so what should i type there ? because it is marked with a little red ' * ' which means you HAVE to fill something in . and thanks for replying

  • @SeLfMadeHero133

    make one up then.

  • Thanks so much!

  • Can you put videos up that you do not own all the content of on your partner channel as long as you do not put ads on it?

  • @JAXandDAX

can you give me types of examples of which videos. Like games?

  • Do you have to have adsense before you apply for partnership? Or are you automatically approved for adsense once you are approved as a partner? Thank you! :)

  • @JAXandDAX

you need adsense before you apply. it is necessary

  • Psst. I recommend looking for a video that shows you NOT to get hacked. :)

  • Audioswapping disables you from partner?

  • @cjedu808

it disables revenue sharing of the video.

  • @Jon3800 ok thanks

  • i see...

its fine. I don't plan on being a partner until i am 18 so it doesn't concern me for now

  • can u become a partner if SOME of your videos aren't ur own because then couldn't u just put revenue on the videos that are your's.

  • how about if you use music?

  • @HTsuna27X

best advice...try avoiding music. It's not good for a partnership, because you can't make money off your video due to copyright infringement, unless you get exclusive permission from the song writer. It sucks, because if you put their music on your own video, the rights belong to them, not you.

  • This really helps. Thanks so much.

  • One question, I heard from a a yahoo answer site that you can be 18+ without permission to become a partner, but you have to have permission from your parent's if your age 13-17? Is this true? Or do you have to be a certian age before you can?

  • @RunescapeGoggleGuyz

    this is true

  • *Cries* I need those many views and stuff!

  • u said only videos more then 30 secs can get revenue sharing....but i gotta vid with 26 secs that got indivdual sharing :p

  • @funnyquestions2011 you're kind of advertising her! o.O

  • i got that email but then they didnt partner me

  • @Jon3800 thanks dude.

One last question: Does it take you a lot of time or is it simply a hobby?

    best

  • @gr4zi4ni

Its more of a spare time. My true hobby is collecting tarantula, so I tend to post videos on my hobby. It takes me a good 2-3 hours to make 1 video.

  • i got almost 6,000 video views, and i have permission to use all music in my videos, do you think i would qualify?

  • @xxRobyCxx

you need more a lot more videos. Probably you have a chance

  • @Jon3800 all right, thanks

  • @Jon3800

    Hey thanks for the info!

2 questions if you don't mind:

How much money per month would YOU make if you only posted 3 videos a week?

Also, what if I have used a tiny part of a (very old) song as a soundtrack for one of my videos? Do you think this is regarded as copyright infringement? Having worked in TV, I know that not all reporters bother asking for permission every time they do a video.

  • @gr4zi4ni

In a month I make about 20-30 videos, I make slightly over $100. I can't really tell not much more than because of confidentiality. However if your channel was more successful, you can easily make hundred, maybe even thousands.

As per your second question, I usually tend to regard any music as copyright infringement. When you enable revenue sharing you have to specify the rights to video content. Tho I've seen one case where songs were passed for not copyright.

  • @gr4zi4ni

continued. This is from my friend saabkyle04 who recently got in the program about a year ago. He reviews cars, and he uses songs from the radio, (I've yet to know how this was possible) to display the car's sound system how good as it compares to certain makes and models, so he uses it as an effect. So it the song does have some sort of an effect, I would assume it could be ok

  • can i become a partner 215k views 640 subs ??

  • @360tutorialsTV

you should NOT matter about the number of subscribers you have as it is meaningless. Views do count. Yes but you need to have someone apply for the partnership for you, since you need to be 18 and over

  • can you still have revenue sharing without being partner please respond=D

  • @datcurveychula

The only time this can happen if youtube likes one of your videos and will email you the option to revenue share that video.

But other than that to revenue share all the videos you do need to be a partner

  • I have about 180,000 video views lots have 500-2000 views the most has like 100,000 some and 1500 some subscribers, is that good enough to be a partner?

  • @abbyartsy78

    yes

  • i get alot of messages in my email what if i deleted the message how can i find that i am youtube partner

  • @meska961

you have to individually look for that message

  • @Jon3800 but i deleted them

  • @meska961

All of them? Are they permanently deleted? I have hotmail and I can still check deleted messages. If that's not the case, then I suggest that you have to reapply

  • i am very sad because i am still not partner of youtube

  • I've finally became a partner!! I am really glad you can manually choose which vids you can use for revenue sharing, because there are some vids I have that I'm playing the piano, and covering songs that aren't my own.

  • @IloveSPIDERZ

    congrats

  • @Jon3800 Thanks man But I have a question. Unless you may have answered in one of your 7 videos, I may have missed it. Just lead me to the correct one if you would. How did you get and put up that "Jon 3800 Series II" logo above your video on the right? haha That's sooo cool!

  • @IloveSPIDERZ

its a banner that you can make. I explain it in the branding options video

  • @Jon3800 Alrighty! Thank you so much man! And have a great birthday!!!

  • Do you have to give youtube the street adress and stuff but how?

  • @Butterflypopstar

you state this in your google adsense account

  • dose lyrics counts pls replay...?

  • @dimche96

unfortunately lyrics does count as copyright sorry. You cannot make these videos for a partnership
