Somewhere right now, a helicopter pilot is crying because of your course of action after falling into the vortex ring effect. =D

The best action is to leave the collective be (which is what you did until the end), and pitch forward. You have gain velocity on the XZ plane in order to escape the vortex. Towards the end of your fall the ground broke enough of the vortex effect to let you escape with high collective, but you rarely are ever going to be so lucky.

It looked nice, though. Very nice.

Yes, you are in a pendulum basicaly. You can adjust difficulty to be more forgiving but... is fun on full sim.

How did you learn how to fly so well? Is there a special mission to learn how to fly. Or do I just have to open a tutorial and take control ? If so, wich one is the best ?

I don't fly that good... There are better virtual pilots for this heli, some can be found on youtube too.

To fly decently you need a good HOTAS and some practice. Reading the manual does help :) .

Too bad. No hotas here XD Bot actually thats not what I meant.

I meant wich missions do you use to learn how to fly ? Do you just open a training mission. Or do you make your own? Because I suppose flying all the training missions isn''t enough to learn how to fly. Since there are only 15 training missions or something XD

I didn't do any training mission that comes with the game. I just crashed enough times. =))

But did you just start with a campaign right away then ?

No... I set up the controls, made a mission where I took off from parking area, pressed Win+Home to make the thingie start on itself then... fly.

I took me some time to adjust the controls and to understand the basics of start up procedure and how the heli operates.

Unfortunatelly I didn't quite had the time to play the game lately, maybe in the summer time.
