  • This is really nice! I've bean working on the parts of what I see here for a while. This is a great demonstration of an integrated whole. I wish I had a teacher to formally train still to move beyond the basics. This Will help me with blending the circle walking training with the linear movements I was taught separately to be joined later.

  • just like Aang and Neji! ^_^

  • It's amazing to see how strong he is, evidenced by his smooth and flowing movements in the low postures.

  • @M1st3rPr3s1d3nt yeah.. he makes it look "easy" doesn't he? but it's anything BUT easy to do that lol.

  • i ve never seen this style before can anyone gie me some Applications for the techniques he is performing?

  • Wonderful. Thanks for posting. I studied Gao Style long ago and attended some seminars with Luo De Xiu. This will help me a lot. A great teacher and nice guy.

  • yeah I look at utube alot . Been doing hsing i for 25 years. Finaly lol , this guy has it for sure . I can see this man has real understanding and power. Thx who ever put this guy in

  • Wow, he deffinately has awesome controll. His moves are very fluid and just absolutely beautiful.

  • Luo is takining it slow and careful in this video. If you see him in action and have the chance of him practicing on you, you will remember the force he generates for the rest of your life.

  • HELL YES!!!!

  • Is that sweat pouring off him?

  • That's what happens when you work hard at something. It's an absolute falacy that you shouldn't sweat whilst vigorously performing internal arts. If you don't you probably need to practice harder.

  • You are right about that, I have to practice harder.

  • i totally agree...you should be sweating even when doing tai chi because you have to challenge your root by getting down...well it makes me sweat at least.

  • I lived in Taiwan and studied with Luo De Xiu. He is awesome, a no-nonsense baguazhang fighting master. Cross hands with him once, feel his power, and you instantly know this. His students are also good; his art is pure, simple, and clearly taught. He is also a nice man.

  • i studied with a guy name Marcus in boulder CO. Who was luo's head student ,I never met luo but what i learned form Marcus is the best stuff ive ever study.his Xing Y is excellent too.

  • I went to a seminar with Luo. Man, he's really next level in terms of skill. Great character too. Very humble, and humorous at times :D

  • thank you for posting this, please share more if you have it... Luo Sifu is quite amazing.. i study yang family taijiquan with a man who used to train w/ Master Luo and whenever he uses bagua against me it makes me feel like a baby... I have watched these tapes on VHS many times and i would love to know about a DVD version if available.. THANKS AGAIN!

  • I like Mr.Luo's work. He is very smooth.

  • ilove this art & this movie preciselyand iwish i could also have it in DVD coz its a pain repeating the video tape over and over everytime i wish to practise, so ifboth tapes "the principle of Gao-Bagua fighting" and "Gao-Baguazhang applications" are available also in DVD please email me at johnpierre.chalouhi at gmail . com in hope of finally start having a great teacher soon.

  • Yup like it!

  • Please post the latter four palms. Luo Dexiu is awesome. :)

  • Very glad to see the real stuff perfectly done.

I've been to a seminar with this guy,hes power is amazing...i look like pinochio compared with him...could be worse

  • I've been doing Gao style bagua for 2 months now. Not only it looks good, but it's also very effective in combat too :D

  • Kenjiro, Luo bears the standard for his branch of Gao... and is advanced enough that if he is doing something.. you can safely assume he has a very good reason for doing it. You might try practicing more and looking, not for flaws, but for helpful hints in his performance that may assist in your own training.

  • Nice looking form, some of the inward stepping looks like it needs more work, and more work on lower basin energy.

  • HAHAHA!! Yeah Kenji, tell us all about it. You sound like a real master. We need to know all about your lower basin expertise. Please don't open your mouth about someone you clearly know nothing about. You might find your foot in it.

    xyq

  • Kenjiro, it's Luo Dexiu, one of Hong Yixiang's top students, along with Su Dongchen and Xu Hongji... There's not many ppl in the world who can do bagua as well as him... Can you? Post a vid pls :)

  • Apparently he's gotten much better since this was filmed, which is a bit scary. :)

  • very nice posture and movement
