That was a disgrace. It makes me ill watching it, even now. How this woman didn't win the whole show I'll never understand. But eliminated 10th? Did the whole country think she was safe that week and just not vote? Or is the American public's taste level really that far in the gutter? Really hope she gets new management and finds better material to release. She's a great singer.

It is our American society. What happens is that the majority of the viewers are young teenage girls and therefore they vote for the young guy who is a good singer. I just felt my heart break.. I met Pia a couple days ago at the American Idol tour and we had a conversation and she is one of the nicest girls I've ever met. She didn't seem cocky and I highly doubt she is. She seemed super down to earth and was super sweet. Plus she has a voice of an angle! She was obviously shaken but held it together. Seems cruel to have the one eliminated watch his or her "journey" from the beginning and then have the person sing one last time. I would have cried, too.

And that moment I heard her name I was screaming and I called the cops!!!!! @xcsapx2014 I actually think Hailey is better than Pia by far. Pia has an 'ordinary' voice, nothing too special about her voice at all. She's good, but that's it. Hailey's voice is special and just pure talented. And what do you expect Hailey to do? Cry because one of her competitors got voted off and she's one step closer to her dream? Be realistic. This is a hard competition, you can't expect people to cheer for one another, that's not how it works.

@Kjini ummmm no. when pia was voted off you can see all of her competitors were devastated. except for hailey. what does that tell you? hailey only cares about herself and winning. everyone else on the other hand cared about each other, except for hailey. hailey was not better. her voice was raspy and all she did was scream and yell when she sang. hailey was too cocky and weird and did not have half a good a voice as pia.

That's why she's different, and she knows how to pick songs, she knows what suits her. And why should Hailey care about what the others were doing, she's doing her own damn thing. If the other's cried, fine, I see them as fools. Hailey's thinking about herself, because this is a competition. They compete AGAINST each other.

@xcsapx2014 ... I'd be happy as hell too, I think Hailey the only one who's not fake at all. You just don't smile and say "It's ok, the others were better than me anyway" when you lose... I'm not saying you should go all crazy either, but Hailey is the only onw in history (as I've seen) of Idol who has reacted in natural ways all the time. She keeps it real, and I love her for that.

I just felt my heart break.. I met Pia a couple days ago at the American Idol tour and we had a conversation and she is one of the nicest girls I've ever met. She didn't seem cocky and I highly doubt she is. She seemed super down to earth and was super sweet. Plus she has a voice of an angle! My moms cousin is family friends with her parents. 4 people that went to the school she went to THIS SEASON got into the top 24.Shes talents obviously but stop overdoing it.Lakish Jones and Katharines McPhee.All that needs to be said. She can hit great notes but come on, if you knew her you would know how cocky she is.

And the whole issue with Haley smiling is almost as ridiculous as this elimination. It seems like the contestants can't even blink infront of the camera without getting criticized. I know she wasn't thinking "yay! Pia's gone! I hate her!" She was just in total shock like the rest of them. People do tend to "smile" when something unbelievable happens right infront of them, even if they are far from happy. Their jaws don't have to drop. I can completely understand Haley's reaction.
