  • mug, you really are a mug ..... sonshine

  • i was 8 days old lol

  • I remember luton's run to the semi's that year, every game seem to be on sky and scott oakes scored!!

  • I remember my Mum waiting for us in the car outside, oblivious to football but hoping for a good result so we'd be happy - me & my mate were bouncing up and down all the way home ...

This and the Newcastle match were great games. A proper old-school cup run :)

  • Poor old Steve Potts...never let all my West Ham supporting mates forget this game! Shame we couldn't turn Chelsea over in the semi-final...

  • Bloody amazing night - Old Skool terraces too - extra special knocking West Ham out ;)

  • this is when football was at its best

  • nope. that was the 80's

  • "i learnt to hate luton"

    blah blah blah

  • I remember sitting behind the dug outs, then Billy Bonds gave Steve Potts the thumbs up...Potts then "accidentally" trod on the ball & Billy Bonds was latter seen coming out of Ladbrokes with a huge bundle of fivers. I learnt to hate Luton after this & the 1989 League Cup semi disaster too !
