In fact, most of the errors in modern Bible are BECAUSE of the KJV; they all copy it. That's why I prefer the original language texts. I think the secret societies like the mason's came about because of the persecution during the dark ages of the church. The things they believed stood opposed to the powers at the time. King James had the Bible translated so as to bring it out of control of the church. But its roots are still in the councils of the church, who decided what would or wouldn't be included according to their own political purposes at the time.

The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall can explain alot about Masonic tenets. It's deep in Hermetic wisdom and the understandings of the symbolic mythologies that relate to polarity. I have heard the Masons described as "evil". Read the book. They were far from it. The ancient foundations were closer to Divinity and the study and discipline of the self. But the organization went through a split in the 1700's into some of what we have today.

If you actually read King James' "A Premonition," James shows how they edited their vulgate translation to mix Christ with mary. "Ordo Abchao" has nothing to do with roman catholicism.

I encourage all to read the bible from a non devotional standpoint and read it as historical accounts that actually happened and I bet you your gonna be astonished, maybe frightened even.

@GraficOctane Of course the KJV has its respective errors. Some verses are translated in the most pristine ways, but others miserably. In fact, most of the errors in modern Bible are BECAUSE of the KJV; they all copy it. That's why I prefer the original language texts. But King James *the king* actually corrected a lot of the errors in the KJV: because he never really used it... he states "pray continually" opposed to the "constantly pray" translation error.
