  • thx that was helpful

  • bam bam boogie! hahahaha

  • im gunna give you tip then you do your water line!!! Take a Q`tip and rub ur water line than add your eyeliner because it reduces the smuge :D

  • woww youre really good! :) subscribing to you ! :D

  • I think silver and oter bright colors of eyeshadows would look great on darker skin tones like us...

  • Thank you for this!!

  • what do you think i should use, as a beginner? i have used a pencil like twice but i want to know if something else is easier.

  • @Afoschini123 liquid liner and there are also liquid liner pens. that might be easier for you. but of course it just depends on the person. hope that helps. :)

  • Wow you were so quick with the cream liner! It takes me hours to get it right!!

  • gosh you're soo steady with your liquid eyeliner! you make it look so easy i tried it out afterwards oh my lord i think i'll stick to pencil and eyeshadow!!

  • how is your skin soo shiny?

  • I think black people wrinkle just as much, just harder to see

  • advice for powder kajal- if you add some water it won't smudge

  • blackk dont crackkk!!! haha (:

  • Hahaha. This is great!

  • "black don't crack."

im like, 90% black, 10% white. (im actually like 80% black, 19% indian, and like 1% white.)

    & im thirteen

& i have wrinkles under my eye from pulling it every day. x]

  • @marissa910 well sorry 4 u.

  • @crysco2010 okay? this comment wasn't necessary.

  • Thank you!

  • Very helpful. Thank uuu!!!!

  • thank u so much that was so helpful

  • OMG!! You're sooo Pretty!! I Love Black People. They are Very Kind,They have natural Beauty and a Good Heart!!

    thanks for the tutorial! =)

  • You are so right about black don't crack. I have seen many women my age I'm almost 50 and they have no lines or wrinkles, amazing. I am Native American and I don't have crow's feet or lines around my eyes or none around my lips like most ladies have.

  • blaak

  • Yes! Finally! Someone who actually knows how to not over do it with eyeliner! Every tutorial I watch they wear so damn much! But I love the way you do yours! It's just enough but not too much! Thanks! This was really helpful :D

  • thats the 1st time ive eva heard black dont crack i like that

  • Hey, loved the video but one thing that I noticed that will be really important in the future is when applying eyeliner I wouldn't pull to much on your eye because that's one way to REALLY cause wrinkles.

  • This is one of the best tutorials for eyeliner application I have ever seen. It does not matter what you do to your eyes, they are beautiful with or without anything on them. A tip I would like to give you, and that is always have your nails real clean before you put your fingers near your eyes or even on your face. Bacteria gets under your nails and carries. You can get a real bad eye infection that way. Always sharpen your pencils right before using. Removes any bacteria left on it.

  • @myrna951 Thank you!

  • Great vid! Helped a lot! Thank you

  • hahahhahaha black dont crack

  • @ambrx00x dats really rude u noe...

  • @awesomechinky its not like she is lying lol

  • @BrighterThanYours actually she is because i'm black and i definitely "crack".

  • @cashmerestarsx lol what you look 19

  • @BrighterThanYours what are you talking about; lol? i have no videos of my on my channel and my icon isn't even me. so i dont know why you said "i look 19" when i'm only thirteen.

  • You're beautiful.

  • hha, u are awesome

  • Omg your beautiful and your face has not one blemish.

  • really like your style and this video! thanks

  • Brilliant, favourited.. I am still trying to perfect this! *hehe* Thankyou Erin!

  • cololo!

  • Great tips...Thanks very helpful.

  • i love cream liner and liquid liner. It's so glam. I love your videos too, they are very informative and easy to understand.

  • For future refference the proper name for that area between the eye and the lashes is "Water-line." Not trying to be annoying just thought it might help you in later videos. I agree that the color of flesh toned concealer is a good one to use in the waterline instead of a white eyeliner pencil for most poeple BUT be careful some ocncealers contain warning about getting it in your eye, we dont want anyone getting ill! Thanks for the video could you maybe tell what kind you prefer in sidebar? ~sam

  • I always have a hard time applying eyeliner on my upper lid because my lashes are thick, long and curls upward and get s in the way. Maybe I should use Scotch tape? ;-)

Also, I like to do the waterline every so often but that means that I would have gunk in my tearducts and it's very hard to get out even with eye make up remover in my experience. Do you experience that problem?

  • hi ! i found your video very informative and i just wanted to ask. can you use your gel eyeliner near your lower lash line too ? because im kind of saving money and i dont want to use all my allowance on eyeliner. and my pencil eyeliner is running out so. i dont have a lot of options when i buy. its either gel or pencil. so if you have time to answer this, thanks so much ! I LOVE YOUR VIDEO ! rock on :D

  • You ain't never lied when u said black don't crack. My parents are in their 60s and they look good. They hardly have any wrinkles.

  • Wonderful video, straightforward and efficient, I couldn't ask for a better resource! Thank you.

  • I'm 1/4 black and I don't get wrinkles from doing that. BTW, is that a mole or a piercing?

  • Thanks for the 'felt tip pen' liquid eyeliner brand! I've been having a hard time finding one that isn't flimsy (like that ones with the wands that come out of a bottle) I don't like using those, because it takes longer to apply them. Great job on your tutorial by the way.

  • Thanks very helpful :)

  • OH! So THAT'S what people do to get their smokey bottom eye! I always thought that I was just doing my eyeliner wrong. *facepalm*

Thank you so much, you're so informative! :DD

  • I thank you have some excellent videos i'm a rockie to make up and appreciate your videos

  • Gred video!

  • thank you so much for this great vidoe! helped so much

  • She is so ture with the Mac liquidlast liner. i have Aqualine and i wore it when i went to chicago, and i tried taking it off but i didn't have the oil make up remover or anything like that and it stayed on for at least 2 days. But i do recommend like she said is to use oil make up remover or olive oil.

On the other hand Great video.

  • DONT PULL YOUR EYELID!!! future wrinkles!

    im just giving advise.

  • omg! u r so pretty .....i just started putting eyeliner on and this was so awesome!

  • I've been looking for a tutorial like this. Perfect! Everytime I use eyeliner I wind up looking like a racoon with dark circles around them. Just horrible.

  • Can you do a video about widening the eye using white eye liner...there are tons of videos of white/asian women doing it...but not black.

    Cheers.

    Law student, UK

  • BAM BAM BOGGEYY

  • Wow. *Subcribes*

  • you are gorgeous!!

  • You are so pretty!

  • your skin is amazing!

  • this was very helpful thanks

  • i do all that

  • i hav 1 of those retractable eyeliners and i have a lot of trouble trying 2 put it on. can u pls pls pls make a vid on how 2 put on those?thx. ur vid rly helpd tho!:D

  • Can you do a video on how you remove you eyeliner? omg i am thirteen and i tried your techinique with pencil eyeliner and black eyeshadow and it was really good for a beginner. The only problem is i don't know how to take it off!!!

  • Use like an eye makeup remover, makeup wipes, oil, or babywipes.

  • i am a makeup queen

especially when it comes to eyeliner

    its my favorite product!!!

i change my style in makeup alll the time

one day it smokey eye the next its cat eyes, i just love it. i think ur vid was great nd had great pointers.

    ~♥Kim♥~

  • Er, im a sixth grader, and im just learning to put on eyeliner .Uh, and im really really bad at it.

What do you think is best for a begginer like me, Liquid or pencil. Cause im scared i might like jab the shit out of my eye, haa.

  • im going into ninth grade, and im really experienced, i'd recomend pencil ifyour just learning about eyeliner. wearing liquid reaquires alot of concentration and perscision and experience. hope it works for ya babe!! :D

  • s'ok im in yr7. haha. pencil ftw. its easier. haha. i suck at applying it too. liquid is a bit easier on the top lid though. hah

  • wow this was very informative. i'm subscribing!!! p.s. you are very pretty!!!

  • another good make-up remover i use is BABY OIL.

I noticed on most of my make-up removers the main ingredient is mineral oil, and that's basically all baby oil is.

it works extremely well, it even takes off waterproof anything.

But also, your application tips were very helpful to me, i thank you(:

  • thankyouthankyou (:

    for the awesome tutorial (:

  • i did that but mine came out way too thick

  • i think the BLACK makes ur eye looks bigger good video very helpful =D

  • Black don't crack xD lol!

    Thank you, It was helpfull!

  • you are so helpful thank you so much :)

  • I really do not like waterline, I think it looks harsh on everyone and doesn't make the eye pop. I like poppin eyes lol.

  • love the video!!!

but in my opinion i think the BLACK makes ur eye looks bigger but that just my opinion lol..

ive been hearing about the MAC products were do you buy them?

  • omg i have been watching these tutorials on how to apply eyeliner&your video is the simplest&most helpful, thanks alot!!!

  • For the waterline, is there a way to apply it so my eyes don't run like mad?

  • wow, super helpful video!! you're awesome :)

  • u have very nice skin hunny. :)

  • I love your videos they are so great and helpful!

Which eyeliner do you think is the easiest to apply? Liquid, pencil or cream?

  • got that right about not cracking. ricans dont crack either . and im not even going to mention the fact that you where in NYC and made no attempts to contact me. ummmmhummmm

  • LOL excuse me sir! I don't have your phone number! I sure would have called you, I was in my hotel room both nights just playing in makeup and watching novelas. And I don't even speak Spanish!

  • I have really allergic/sensitive eyes so a lot of stuff itches my eyes

  • i'm black and i love my blue eyeliner for my brown eyes its better than boring black

  • Yes! I love to hear that.

  • Please tell em Erin...they don't know bout us! And when we do wrinkle...we make it look good.

  • Hahaha hell yeah!

  • i get all squirmy when u pulled ur eye down. eek! hahaha!

    but ur really pretty!=))

  • thanks 4 da video i like the smokie look

  • we sure dont!

  • Can you do a drugstore makeup version of this?

    I would soo subscribe.

  • The only drugstore liners I have are L'Oreal HIP Cream eyeliners and NYX pencils. But the same rules apply!

  • Okay : ) I have the Loreal creme eyeliner and it smudges on me after a while. What am I doing wrong?

  • Nothing. The same happens to me! lol

  • Im Only 13 And I Use Pencil Eyeliner And It Works But I Want To Use Liquid Eyeliner.. I Have All The Make Up Things I Need For My Face But The Oil Soaks It All In Because I Have A Oily T-zone...But My Face Is Really Combination...I Cant Wear Eyeshadow because The Oil Soaks That In To..It Sucks!1

  • ohh and what kind of liner did u use for the waterline?

  • MAC Graphblack Pencil

  • i really dnt like pencil liner. lol i like the crayon kind..its sorta like pencil but more creamy and it rolls out of the tube instead of sharpening it. but anways really nice video!

  • Where can I find the Mac crayon concealer? I checked the website and it is not available.

  • OMG! They are discontinued. Go figure. JUST noticed this.

  • I love your videos--thank you for much for giving us the real story! I really appreciate that. SO many people sell out but you have earned my trust.. Thank you!

  • you really dont need make-up, your very pretty.

    :)

  • So sweet! Thanks!

  • Loves it!

  • Your locks are looking Glam & moisturized. The tutorial was on point.

Thanks for the info ; ).

  • Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bada boom bada bing! love it!

  • one of the most informative tutorials I have ever seen. and I have seen a lot!!!!!

  • Yay!

  • I love that you demostrated liner use not just talk about it.

  • Thank you!

  • great tutorial, love it alot!

  • We have melanin in our skin while white people don't. That's the reason we don't age like they do. Most people of dark races has it. What a blessing.

  • @sweetmahagony God what are you talking about!! all human beings have melanin!!! the point is that black people have more than white people, that's why black skins are "stronger" than white skins

  • @sweetmahagony

No offense intended here, but I have a correction on your comment above.

Actually we all (but albinos) have Melanin in our skin,it's the type of Melanin and the amount of it that makes a difference in our skin color and in how the skin absorbs or reflects Ultraviolet light. Its the reflection or absorption (in theory) that makes a difference in how one ages more or less graceful then others. :)

  • lol u get wrinkles thats daonly way i can put on my liner

  • do u have to be a make up artist to attend da make up show in ny

  • black don't crack, for real. lol. u all age so gracefully! lucky =]

  • what type of eyeliner do you recommend for the waterline that won't smear and smudge off by the end of the day?

  • great video!

  • Great video. You explain things really well.

  • Great video as usual ;)

  • i still don't understand what the point of the gel/creame eyeliners. i see a lot of people use it but, personally, i don't see what it does that a pencil or liquid liner can't.

  • the staying power is amazing, and you have more control and options, imo. and it's DARKER, more true to color, imo.

  • thank you, thank you for an answer! i guess i'll skip the black gel liner and grab some colored ones (blue and purple) because the colored liquid liners don't do much for me!

  • i had never heard that you shouldn't touch your eyes because of wrinkling! can you explain more about this? i don't want wrinkles!

  • its just that the area around the eyes is very sensitive, and pulling on is supposed to make it wrinkle

  • The skin around the eyes is suppose to be thinner and more delicate. Our skin is going to wrinkle and sag over time but I think excessive pulling can speed up the process. However genetics, diet and lifestyle play a big part in how we age too.

  • great vid, your hair is looking so cute!

  • Im so glad you made this video. My eyelids are very small so I dont have a lot of lid space.

  • thats the 212 brush

  • thats so true, we just dont wrinkle!

"black dont crack" ah funny stuff

  • Thanx for the vid.... your hair is growing very well, is your hair twisted individually all the way through, i like the style that you're wearing, and I want to try to recreate it... Thanx!

  • Hair looks cute.

  • I see a lot of people putting colors on the waterline. What do you think?

  • thanks for doing this vid, really great tips!!!!

  • You the best!

  • I agree with the "Black don't crack" saying, but (oily-skinned) Black people DO get saggy. We've all seen it.

I've heard that pulling isn't terrible, as long as you do it outside of the orbital area (i.e.pulling the skin just past your eyebrows or tugging just below the undereye "bag" line) to prevent damaging the delicate eye skin.

We comment you're beautiful, and because we care :o)

  • I thought the more oily your skin was the less likely you are to get wrinkles (at least deep wrinkles) or saggy skin? Idk maybe i'm wrong but i'm sure i've heard that somewhere lol

  • Girl I don't even know, I'm not too worried about it though! ;-p

  • good advice and tips !!

  • I was wondering , what do you do if your applying pencil eyeliner on someone else? coz wen someone did it to me it hurt a LOT . lol

  • Are there any tips you can suggest to put on mascara, I don't like mascara but I finally got a hold of one that I really like and I'm having to clean up my lids after I'm done because I'm not good at putting it on yet, I know that there is one tip to put your head back and wiggle from root to tip but I can't seem to get my wand close enough to the root and it is mostly just wiggling on the tip....any help?

  • put a business card behind your lashes while you apply it :o)

  • Your skin is looking sooo good!

  • You right black don't crack LOL. Great tips. thanks :)

  • preach it!!! black don't cracck :)

  • u r really good at doing eyeliner

  • Great Video

  • Erin...you crack me up. I always say that but you do. I love you breaking out the, "black don't crack".

  • LOL I couldn't help it! I look at 80-90 year old black women all the time with PERFECT skin. My grandma is 78 with FLAWLESS, SMOOTH skin and its gorgeous!

  • LOL @ "bam bam boogie" gurl u are a cute mess (in a great way of course) Great tut! This should help tons of people. *****

    ♪ kokofemme ♪

  • LOL Thanks Koko!

  • lol, ' Bam Bam Boogie'

  • Awesome beginner's tutorial!

  • hmm never thought of using a lightish creamy colored liner instead of white, good idea..what line/color do you suggest if I don't want to buy Mac's concealer stick?

  • Hmm, I know MUFE has one, but I'm sure NYX, Wet N Wild and other cheaper brands do to.

  • Many thanks for another great tutorial! Lining is usually a toughie, and this helps loads. Is there perhaps a lip liner tut in the future??? :o)

  • Yep, there will be!

  • I've noticed my eye are has wrinkled from back when I didn't believe in moisterizer. Yes dare I say it.... I put makeup on w/o moisterizing...and used to stretch my eyes like that... I've noticed reprecussions (spelling?) from that.

  • Great video Erin! Thank you!!!

  • Great video. How are the locs doing?

  • :) Thanks for all the great tips. I am soo afraid I am gonna poke myself in the eye...so I never wear any product in my water but I am gonna try.

  • great video :-)
