Our budget is 20% defense, 20% social security, 23% medicare and medicaid, and another 18% mandatory spending, and interest. Only leaves19% up to discretionary spending anyways. I just watched the republican debate, and then I thought about our budget after hearing all of them say we need to cut spending. Our budget is 20% defense, 20% social security, 23% medicare and medicaid, and another 18% mandatory spending, and interest. Only leaves19% up to discretionary spending anyways. And thats the amount that obama has control over, yet we all blame him for our budget woes. And no one wants to bring defense, medicare and medicaid, or social security up for debate. Shame
