Turned up at the Arnold Carnival in Nottingham (big time baby) & demanded the act before him came off early so that he could have an extra 5 minutes as he was the 'big name.' Andy Abraham is one of the best acts we have had since Bucks Fizz. Terry Wogan loved this song and I see why, full of endless energy. Yet our 2009 entry was stolen by Andrew Lloyd Webber, i think we could have bands like Muse on there, i still like the way metal was brought by Lordi & then Teraesbetoni, both Finnish. But at the end of the day, the eurovision is great to watch and good music all around. Alexander Rybak deserved to win 2009, been on English radio for over 3 weeks. Evening Europe!

@frecklefeatures we lost because eurovision has become more of a political contest. countries vote for countries they like and everyone hates the uk because a hundred years ago we invaded countries everywhere. think about it, cyprus gives 10/12 points to greece, and vice versa. ireland gives us good points every year and we do the same. when we came 5th that's because they changed the judging system somehow which meant we were being judged for the song, not our reputation. also this song sucks!

Well that is only because people in Ultser can receive RTÉ and vote for the UK while the people in the Republic can view BBC 1 and vote for Ireland.

If you go back to the 1990s when the juries were in place, both The UK and Ireland done a pretty good job at giving low scores or no scores at all to one another.
