  • What is this song called?

  • @muddpuddle49 "It was Ludwig Van, 9th Symphony, Fourth Movement."

  • This made me laugh.

  • it's a sin!

  • man this film gives me stendhal syndrome

  • ¿Quién canta esta versión de la canción "himno a la alegría"?...Díganme por favor.

Who sings this version of the song "Ode to Joy "?... please tell me.

  • gb v nazi's gb for the win every time

  • @tiasarahellielorna

In your dreams dude, Great britains efforts in WW2 were mediocre at best. The only reason they didn't loose were the fact that Germany had to fight against the Soviets and that USA came to Britains rescue.

In fact Great Britains efforts prior to Barbarossa were only defeat and withdrawal. Their "victory" were simply due to attrition. Germany was superior in both technology and tactics, FAR superior.

  • @SinglemSolis Really? In 1940, the Soviets were German allies. Still, Operation Sea Lion got to be "postponned indefinitely". So I think you meant: "RAF superior" (including German cities almost all burning to the ground). Also, Operation Compass, or invasion of Iraq - "only defeat and withdrawal"?

  • @punipunipunisher

Firstly. Operation Compass was against Italy, not Germany. And Italys war efforts during WW2 were pretty mediocre and should neither be confused with nor compared to Germanys war effort.

Secondly. You just pointed out the one major goal that Germany failed to achieve prior to Barbarossa. But you fail to aknowledge the plethora of Germanys achievements during this time.

  • @SinglemSolis If not for Britain and her Empire standing alone and forcing the Germans to give up to attack the USSR, Hitler would have won. Britain annihilated the Italians capturing the most POWs in history forcing Hitler to divert his forces, as they would again do in Greece, Yugoslavia, etc. Rommel was thrown out of Africa whilst the navy cleared the North Sea for supplies and men from Canada/Newfoundland. I'm a teacher and have a site devoted to Nazi sites remaining in Germany: TracesofEvil

  • @Lacedaemonia At least under the Nazi regime they would be eliminating the collateral damage. Mitigating the suffering before it posed a serious problem both to the individual and to the collective. Here they just peck the misfits to death and expect them to finish themselves off. Nothing morally superior aboutt this system.

  • @Lacedaemonia Brittain never stood alone..American troops bailed that "empire" out..They would be eating saurkrut and struddle if it wasn't for the Yanks..Rommel was tossed out of North Africa thanks to Patton with 'Monty' on the flank..

  • @801liveable Did you ever notice that maybe starting a nationalist argument based on World War II is pretty silly?

  • @chamale1 or a nationalist argument based on a movie..

  • @SinglemSolis you're so stupid it's unreal!

  • @95Lodgey

The medioctry of your post tells me the same about you :)

  • the world is full of ultra-violence

  • its a sin!

    ITS A SIN!!!

  • i love this montage, and the music fits excelent

  • I'm pretty sure 0:47 is in Volgograd (Stalingrad during WW2), Russia.

That statue is in a park and I think it still stands.

  • This is how minecraft's creepers are born

  • someone knows what version of "ode to joy" is this?

  • @needved1 "Ninth Symphony, Fourth Movement, (Abridged)" - A Deutsche Grammophon Recording. This is what's listed on the soundtrack. If you search this thru youtube this version comes up.

  • @sertsj1 thanks mate, i found it : )

  • I am not a nazi either but this song does go very well with this footage, and displays human behaviour and ultraviolence at its best. Just looking at the footage and hearing the music, I think to myself (which Stanley Kubrick probaly intented everyone to do with his brilliant filmmaking), IS that really how us humans are?

  • @kyhzer Of course it is. The US is no exception. Look at our "interventions" in central America during the Reagan years. Look at Vietnam. Look at the middle east situation. Look at how the US military treated dissenters doing nothing other than exercising their 1st amendment rights on college campuses. Enough said. Critics will justify it saying that the American citizenry has benefited economically from these events but that aspect of these actions is coming to an end.

  • @ColdCypher I dont want to act like a cynic, but i do agree with you. The U.S. aren't the only ones with problems. They dedicated there economy on wars, if you're a conspiracy theorist, you'll take 9/11 for example... but I'm not just talking about America, I'm talking about the world.

  • @kyhzer Yes. Greed is certainly powerful.

  • yeah, this version is the best

  • Perfect!

  • Cant stop watching this. Love it. Like the 13th time in a row sitting here watching this. Perfect music to match the footage

  • watching this reminds me of being stoned

  • download it from clockwork orange soundtrack, it is a special remix of ode to joy, it is in the mid of a song of 3 pieces

  • Alex got Reichroll'd

  • This has to be one of the greatest scenes in the movie...Im no Nazi but just watching the footage and the music goes so well...I love Stanley Kubrick...You are a genious...RIP.
