  • The book of mormon tells of refugee Hebrew building a temple like that of Solomon's in the americas .

where is this temple today ?

The ziggurats of the Mayans are not in anyway like that of a Hebrew temple. Nothing in the book of Mormon resemble the former inhabitants of the american continent . plants, crop, weapons, animals, people or languages.

Why would anyone in their right mind consider it to be real history.

  • Anyone with a 3rd grade Sunday School education knows that there is no need for Temples. Christ is the fulfillment of law and the Jewish Temple was destroyed as a testimony to the truth of Christ the Lord.

  • It's Nahom , in the book of mormon

  • Nahum was unknown to the western world including the United States until the 1950's. Yet it was part of the frankincense trail around the days of Lehi and his family 600BC. It is impossible Joseph could have guessed the spot right. Joseph Smith couldn't have even known about the trade route used in those days. Yet it's found in Book of Mormon, because it true, and was an ancient record.

Again kramd1 you are exposed as a charlatan and a liar.

  • @LDS4Life71 It is not called Nahom . the rock inscriptions have NHM on it.

    That's it.

once again your into the name calling.

  • @believingldsmormon

Ok I think its truly great you uploaded all these great videos. However I got one gripe. Why won't you help us by commenting in response to the ignorant commenters.

  • @LDS4Life71 spare you comments. They do very little except to make more anti mormons.

your labelling and name calling is not indicative of a God directive. Makes me wonder who your communing with.

  • @kramd1 I shall forewarn all readers of your lying. There is allot of evidence that supports the book of Mormon. You are not being genuine. You are a liar and a charlatan.

  • @LDS4Life71 whatever, forewarn them about what ?

Is this an argument about who's the Charlatan ? mmm Joseph Smith springs to mind.

    1. while your at showing me where I am a "liar " ( as you say ) would it be possible that you could also mention something of the "allot of evidence" re: B of M

I think we have established lying is unacceptable so could the example exclude personal revelation.

    I'm all ears.

  • @kramd1 I'm not showing anything, You are already a iiar and a charlatan. You have no credibility.

  • @LDS4Life71 Are you a Juvenile ?

  • @kramd1 I'm your daddy! You are a lying charlatan. Do the Youtube community a favor and close your pathetic account, you loser.

  • @LDS4Life71 temper temper name caller.

  • @kramd1 I'm also a realist. Google NAHUM, and it explains much, that you won't admit. You won't look. I dare you.

  • @LDS4Life71Nahum Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nahum ( Hebrew Naḥūm‎) was a minor prophet whose prophecy is recorded in the Hebrew Bible.

  • @kramd1 Minor prophet, but still delivered Gods message to his people.

Not my fault you have no profile, and wish to remain anonfucktard#1

  • @LDS4Life71 swearing name calling LDS that you are.

Not sure what your point is. Nahom is not NHM , Nahum according to wikipedia is a minor hebrew prophet. Still, I fail to see the B of M connection.

  • @kramd1 The NHM found on the Arabian peninsula was unknown to the United States till 1950 so how did Nahom make it into the book of Mormon?

  • @LDS4Life71 Again, How do you get Nahom out of NHM ?

  • @kramd1 Not me, how did Joseph Smith even get Nahom at all?

  • @LDS4Life71 It's in the Hebrew bible.

BTW Nahom is not NHM are you awake ?

  • @kramd1 Well Joseph must have learned this thru osmosis since not a single person living in the United States till 1950 had discovered the location of Nahom on the Arabian peninsula or because the BoM is exactly what it claims to be.

  • @LDS4Life71 Is this your evidence to say the BoM is what it claims ?

there is a leap of faith to suggest NHM = Nahom.

Joseph Smith coming up with Nahom bears no relevance to a place named NHM.

That's why your confused using the name Nahum

Nahum is as close as it gets. Still not Nahom.

The book of mormon is bankrupt of any evidence save be it to ask god .

  • @kramd1 That is only your opinion. The truth though is verifyable online, and you won't look.

  • @LDS4Life71 Nahom = NHM. Did god tell you that this is ?

  • @kramd1 No I must have gotten it from osmosis like ol Joe. yeah riiiiight

  • @LDS4Life71 agreed

  • Mormonism has a patented claim on God (the one and only) backed up by nothing but "testimony" That is "God will tell you"

These people maybe well meaning and compassionate lot . But when it comes to God they are the most deluded of all, they are bankrupt when it comes to any evidence.

No plates, No DNA supporting evidence for the Lamanites, No archeological finds of Zarahemla or of a civilisation containing steel, horses or elephants that supposedly occupied the whole american continent.

  • @kramd1 And Kramd1 is a certifyable liar, and a charlatan. She won't tell you the honest truth, about the origins, evidences, and plausibilities concerning the book of Mormon.

    FAIRLDSdotORG

    for the truth

  • @LDS4life : In Answer to you Q.

your calling me a "certifiable liar", please explain ? If i lie, then show me the lie. lyingly exclaiming evidence when in reality there is none would have to be right up there for speaking falsehood.

Can I take it your here to respond, as a new missionary effort, to any or all comments on youtube. There does not seem to be great deal of rational mormon content. Testimony wearing seems to be a marker for surrender "the games over" card.

  • This is great stuff! Thanks for your testimony!

  • The works of the temple are BIBLICAL!

  • Bring it mother fucker, I will pull your fucking skull out of your head. Go save up your welfare money for a new computer

  • pull my skull out of my head huh? how bout pullin ur head out your azz.. little weak azz punk i,d smack the taste out of your mouth. you really have no clue...what would be in store for you if i did ever meet you. im not a passive morom not at all. lol besides we do believe in the laying of hands for blessings but in your case it would be a blessing for me hahahahaha

  • Romans 2:14-15

14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them)

  • Green aprons, booties, bakers hats, veils, robes, sashes, chants, memorizing and repeating, hipnotic movie, handshakes, rituals for heaven! Come on now. The sacret not secret bit is getting really old! cult.

  • I absolutely SICK of people taking scripture OUT OF CONTEXT for their own messed up gains, and this video is 100 percent proof of that very thing.

  • when you are dead it dont matter what happends too the body, the body goes back too the dust, the spirit is done gone too hell if you are a mormon. so all this is just pure stupied, when you are dead you are dead ,it is too late for you too be saved so this is all lies for the week mineded

  • umm never mind about the last comment you answered it as I posted the comment.

  • Could you explain the concept of the baptism of the dead? From what I have heard it is a practice that Mormons perform for someone who has died and the baptizm is acually performed on a living person on behalf of the one who has died. Is this true?

  • we christians to believe that every person will hear the gospel in this life and the age to come we differ though we believe during christ millienial reign the chance to recieve jesus as lord we also understand that all will be resurected from the dead

  • as an reformed mormon the refrence to paul he was speaking to Greek Pagans that regected christ resurection just b4 your little quote we read "IF CHRIST HAD NOT RISEN" these pagans did not believe in the resurection of christ but were part of the olf greek world where they performed baptism of the dead we all know the greek myth of archeales he was baptised in his angles and was imortal but the weakness was his ancle thus he died when he was shot there read the scriptures in context

  • Although the practice (Baptism for the dead) is not Biblical, I appreciate the video to better understand the abuse of Bible doctrine by the Mormons. Baptism is "not required" for salvation, so the practice is just another effort to play on the guilt of the members. Do the research Mormons. The truth is in the Book.

  • Show your baptism you idiot if you are so proud of it. Do it. I am sick of this BS.

    Just Ole Tex

  • Still waiting for your response Steve.

  • Estaban,

Sorry for the slow response, I have been wrapping up a grad school semester and am currently typing with a brace on because of emerging carpal tunnel problems.

Again, not that simple. There are copious examples in the Bible, and in good parenting, where one set of information is more appropriate at one time than another. Also, the BOM and D&C serve two very different roles as scripture.

And a resounding no on Q #2. Christ is God, we pray to the Father because Christ told us to. Thanks

  • Understood, I have been very busy too, hope your dental problems are soon sorted. Can't really swallow the different times explanation especially when the contradictory 'revelations' were so closely timed, Mormons usually have an explanation that will satisfy another Mormon, But then you are all used to an environment of almost constant 'about faces'.

  • Carpal tunnel has nothing to do with your face. Just saying.

  • I beleive you are a Good, Person ogically and morally, Now if I am not mistaken I challenge you to Justify the Temple rituals that are detained from the LDS to the people, In reference If you are not aware I know exactly that Temples are inspired directly from PEAGANISM, the 3 masiopnic symbols symbolized the priest hoods satan Graned to EVE upon deiceiving her, and in reference BLOOD OATHS are the Centerpoint of the SECRETS withheld with your religion temples*

  • There is, I understand, nothing at all in the BoM about baptism for the dead, indeed the efficacy of any "work" after death is specifically denied in that book. If it is true then it is VERY important, so why did Joe not say so in either the BoM or in his bible 'translation'. It was Orson Pratt who came up with this one.

  • Estaban! As someone I share a first name with I am disappointed! You are 100% correct that the BOM does not talk about it, but that was not it's purpose. Joseph Smith taught the principle in the Doctrine and Covenants (see D&C 128:16-18), the practice originated from God through him.

I have participated in this practice many, many times, and the Holy Spirit is very strong. It is wonderful, Christ is in it.

    Thanks - Steve

  • Sorry, my mistake, however my point still stands really. If the BoM specifically denies the efficacy of any work for the dead, is Joseph then not contradicting the claimed author of the BoM in the D&C's? On another point entirely, is it true that you are not permitted to pray to Jesus because, in the view of the LDS, he is not God?

  • I think i can help you out with your consern. it is precisely the fact that the dead cannot do there own work that makes baptism for the dead necessary. When put into correct perspective, the Book of Mormon does not contradict the church's doctrine. Indeed, it is the doctrine of Christ.

  • Shit if a mormon ever baptised one of my family members I'll baptise that mormon with gasoline and a match

  • I hope you get your wish, you would serve the world better in a jail cell, than lying to the world behind a computer, you stupid virus sending s o b.

You're a lying bigot and Catholicsim is FALSE now get off our threads you Anti-mormon troll puppet piece of fecal matter!

    Shut your pie hole!

  • I'm sorry, I just really wish you hadn't said that. What kind of a message are you sending to people who are not of our faith by speaking that way, that was rather offensive. Especially calling out Catholicism like that. Not cool.

  • He's a troll and he spams all over pro LDS sites. better to bite his legs off than listen to him spout off lies.

Also he cost me a new Hard drive as he loves sending LDS viruses.

I really don't care what you think of me, but I'm not going to let him hang here.

  • And I didn't cost you a new hard drive you did that all on your own by going into porn sites you fat ass mormon.. and you piss so many Catholics off that one of them posted your ss number in hacker rooms in yahoo chatrooms..

  • Keep your shit up dickhead, I have a house a block away from you.. and I'll meet up with you right now if you want.. go hail your butt licking mormon prophet of satan joseph smith asshole

  • This still makes my stomach sick. Mormons portray themselves to be christins yet they deny the true essense of who God is. The book of Mormon is much more important than the word of God. It is so sad when more time is spent looking at a book that was written by a man who was no more than your contemporary. I challenge you to spend some alone time, in the Bible, and search your heart. I will continue to pray for my friends who continue to be disillusioned by this cult.

  • I am Mormon and Christian. I am Christian and Mormon. Can you tell me who wrote the Bible? I believe it was men just like Joseph. Both Bible and Book of Mormon are the word of God. Let's see you try to live by the teachings of both and see if your life doesn't get any better.

It's quite a unique experience. Thanks for your prayers.

  • Uhhh, Mormons read both the book of Mormon AND the bible. The book of Mormon is not a replacement, its a companion. As it states in its title. "The book of Mormon, ANOTHER (capitals added for emphasis)testament of Jesus Christ." Not, "A more important" or "Disregard the bible". Its an expansion. More stories, more teachings. And last time I checked, the bible was written by men, inspired by God. The exact same as the book of Mormon. So, how exactly do we deny the true essence of God?

  • Not hidden? You liar. Endowments? Second Endowments? Why don't you talk about the secret handshakes and the clownsuits you wear. Why the handshakes? Why not the five points of fellowship or the death penalties anymore?

  • Hey, thanks for watching and responding. You're right that I didn't cover the endowment, initiatories, or sealings yet. I simply haven't had time, to be honest.

You are also right that there are elements that are secret and not discussed, but those are actually quite few in relation to what can be talked about.

I don't think the church tries to portray the scary, secret tone you're trying to evoke.

    Thanks - Steve

  • Spin my brother.....that's what they do SPIN SPIN

  • God is the judge of every human heart. He also says in Matthew 10:32-33 Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

Doesn't this verse speak for itself? We are all given a chance to know Him but if we choose to not acknowledge him, he will deny us.

  • Thanks for the verse, that is a wonderful verse of scripture. I think we are absolutely required to ultimately acknowledge Christ, and for those who do not know Christ yet, acknowledge and live the truth they have. But there are billions of God's children who never heard the name of Jesus Christ, let alone were taught His gospel in a way they could love and embrace Him.

I think Baptisms for the Dead are a way God invites and helps these people back.

    Thanks - Steve

  • Good job brother. You gave a very simple and precise description of the doctrine. It may not get much play by the people who should see it. Most who detract don't like to see videos that make sense and make them irrelevant. Keep them coming.

  • Great video and great explanation.
