The only real difference between the two is the operating system and the price. As far a security goes just don't open shady ass files and your good. Macs work best when u build websites that deal with online transactions cause they can't hack into your system.True... Macs have excellent components but whos to say you can't build a pc the same way for much cheaper. A real I ran into about Macs is that they crash easily and they don't multitask as well as a pc.

But I do have to make my arguments :)
1) Quality of Windows is arguable, but in my personal opinions OS X isn't "higher quality."
2) Available Accessories, PCs come with more, such as BlueRay or touch screens.
3) Appearance... yes, I made a gesture about that on my own comparison, but most PCs don't look as ugly as you displayed. The last decade or so PCs have been looking rather nice, you gotta admit.
And OS X doesn't exactly credit it for being great software, seeing as not only I myself but many like me would agree that Windows is indeed more useful and the better choice in OS.
I agree with you with you when you say that Windows isn't a higher quality, but being a Mac and Windows user, I personally believe that the Mac OS is better (although I respect everyone's opinions. Looking around, I have been able to find bluray burners and touch screens for macs (namely MCE technologies bluray recordable drive and Axiotron: Modbook)
As far as appearance goes, PCs (and Macs) have come a long way, but I had to hand it to Apple's engineering team for creating such beautiful products throughout their entire line.
Finally, Macs can be customized to a certain degree (I agree- PCs have a wider scope for customization), but notebooks and iMacs can be customized with skins and products like that of Speck, and you can customize your monitor as well.

Security- macs can get viruses, and PC's don't if you have half a brain (AVG is free and better than any paid ones)
Quality- PCs and macs run much of the same software and PC's have more and better games,
Pricing (Software)- final cut studio- $999, Sony Vegas Pro- $599
Appearance- Dell Adamo XPS, Sony Vaio L Series Desktop, Alienware Aurora
thats +4 for the PC, so it looks like a tie, which is the way it should be. Both have strengths and weaknesses and its all up to preference.

Switching to mac is easy! Most macs come with everything you need, although I recommend purchasing a few things:
-iWork
-if it is a laptop: a case.
All macs come with iLife, an excellent suite for media editing.
If you buy a Mac Mini or a Mac Pro, you will need a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
When you buy a new mac, take your old PC to the Apple store, and they will transfer your old files.
Since you are coming from PCs, you may wish to buy 1on1 from apple, it is basically ctd...

Macs have excellent components but whos to say you can't build a pc the same way for much cheaper. A real I ran into about Macs is that they crash easily and they don't multitask as well as a pc.

Well, I must admit, I love this comparison, especially how nicely you made it.
But I do have to make my arguments :)
1) Quality of Windows is arguable, but in my personal opinions OS X isn't "higher quality."
2) Available Accessories, PCs come with more, such as BlueRay or touch screens.
3) Appearance... yes, I made a gesture about that on my own comparison, but most PCs don't look as ugly as you displayed. The last decade or so PCs have been looking rather nice, you gotta admit.

There's also the ability to customize hardware.
And OS X doesn't exactly credit it for being great software, seeing as not only I myself but many like me would agree that Windows is indeed more useful and the better choice in OS.

I agree with you with you when you say that Windows isn't a higher quality, but being a Mac and Windows user, I personally believe that the Mac OS is better (although I respect everyone's opinions. Looking around, I have been able to find bluray burners and touch screens for macs (namely MCE technologies bluray recordable drive and Axiotron: Modbook)

As far as appearance goes, PCs (and Macs) have come a long way, but I had to hand it to Apple's engineering team for creating such beautiful products throughout their entire line.
Finally, Macs can be customized to a certain degree (I agree- PCs have a wider scope for customization), but notebooks and iMacs can be customized with skins and products like that of Speck, and you can customize your monitor as well.
