  • @Firepower3006 super true. I don't know what that fella's smoking. Obscura not technical? Really? :I

Great cover btw!! Love the puppy!

  • How do you build up your endurance to play the rhythm?

  • amazing! and it sounds so much heavier because of the more audible bass, i love it. i wish bass was a bit louder in metal albums, it adds so much.

  • Great to hear your own instrumental version!

  • What kind of pick are you using to peddle the string so fast? I think these jazz picks are slowing me down

  • @tyoung1979 Jazz picks are actually made for speed so if you can do this with say a dunlop jazz 3 you not be able to do it with a "big" pick.

  • @FirePower3006 Guess I just need to practice more, thanks for the input.

  • dude, your rythm playing is unbelievable

  • Hello from Russia) You're awesome game! and you have a lot of equipment, I January 12th birthday ... I do not want a gift? Omen - 8, for example ... for you it's nothing, but I could save money ... work can not have damaged the spine, tiper even from its own weight suffer. Give at least some response to the realties that would like to know

  • So well done that Youtube thinks it's the actually recording :D

  • Everyone hate me. I missed the like button and hit dislike. I hope i get cancer.

  • @AErockaholic1127 dude I love everyone, even the haters!

  • @fearedse Dude, first i loved your cover. Now i love you.

  • terrible fome la wea

  • @ 3:30

    "F***, my forearm... :["

  • @ 3:30

    "F****, my forearm... :["

  • @metallikupo celestion black shadow c90

  • To they guy that said "this is the worlds official hardest rhythm song", the rhythm is easy, playing it for 8mins is a different story.

  • WTF TAGS!?!?!?!

  • Comment removed

  • ola you are a god among men

  • This song makes me want to danceto the Macerana naked in my living room......

  • you sir, are a machine.

  • I bet your forearms are still burning from this.

  • 1:28 Bosse: Ooh Fuck!

  • Awesome mate, love the little bit with Bose as well ;-)

  • What are you playing at 1.12? Can't find tabs that sounds right or find covers that i think sounds right except this, and i can't quite figure out what you're playing

  • Nice video mate! You nailed it spot-on. Nice legs too.

  • Which do you prefer and why! The Savage 120 or the Diezel VH4?

  • That looks very hard to play.

  • so many awesome amp demos but not one Fryette amp? : (

  • One question :D! where did u get all those amps :D!?

  • Freaking epic. But out of all the amps you've tested, what made you choose to cover Bleed with the Diezel? Just curious : o

  • What the fuck is it about Sweden being so awesome?

  • I'm not sure what is more expensive, my house or this amp.

  • @JustD972 the amp i think...

  • i dont understand how you can do that rhythm man. ivebeen trying to play this for about an hour nonstop, ive almsot got the rhythm down, but i cant play it for long at all before it starts to hurt. a minte and a half tops

  • @cerebrallockdown only training helps there! my favourite rythm exercise is world painted blood by slayer, play that every day for a quarter of an hour, and your arm will hurt way less after about a month.

  • Ah ha... I use the same trick to mute the unwanted cords... Killer sound !!!

  • Nice dog =D

  • Fagrag ? What fagrag... All i saw was total domination of the soundwave spectrum.

  • i love how this is the worlds official hardest rhythm song and the solo is like all legato :p

  • @ImaDjentleman contrasts... love them...

  • @ImaDjentleman *cough* I*cough*

  • @ImaDjentleman its probably to give their right arm a fucking break

  • @ImaDjentleman Hardest rhythm song? Are you kidding? Go listen to some technical death metal like obscura and say that again.

  • @FirePower3006 and i hate to say it but obscura isnt even .1% tech death in my opinion and i find them to be a little generic, but, that my opinion...

  • @ImaDjentleman Obscura not tech death? Generic? I think you are thinking of the wrong band, they are labeled as technical death and have some of the most complex riffs I have ever heard.

  • Is this on channel 4? sounds like it to me, but I'm not sure.

  • Man that bass tone is chewy.

  • how do you like that 8 string guitar? rga8

  • (This might be sacrilegious, but...) I like this version better than with Meshuggah. Of course they wrote it. I love this video. Just need to have it on my songlist.

  • fagrag :>

  • Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ola :)

  • Hello Ola! I don't know if you already answered this, but can you tell me what string gauges are you using on the rga-8?

  • @Kaiowas100 yo! I'm using 10-60 7-string set and then put a 74 as the 8th string.

  • @fearedse Where do you get the 10-60 set from man?

  • @fearedse shit my guitar teacher used thick fuckin strings like 17-74 if i recall correctly on his bc rich

  • how'd you get the vocals out of the track?

  • @dsnj1992 This is my own backing track I did... the midi for the drums can be found in the toontrack metal sdx.

  • @dsnj1992 Ha, i would take this comment as a huge compliment :D

  • is that chewing gun on the amp at 2:24? sick cover btw

  • @metalv150 no that's Jabba the HUT!

  • @fearedse lmao, would you be able to do some videos with some more 'affordable amps, that'd be good

  • @fearedse hutt!

  • Ola, how are you able to pick up so much pick attack in your recordings. I'm always searching for it but just can't nail it. Thanks in advance. Killer as always by the way!!

  • @metalfan1212 I use Tortex Sharp 1,5 picks. It will make you pick harder :D

  • hey Ola, sick cover man, superior tone and skill!!! Do you reckon you'll ever do a full length cover of Combustion? You'd make it your bitch!!!!

  • @D34n0Thund3r I don't know, I rather do just one cover from the bands that has been an influence over the years. But I have a Feared 8-string song coming up though.

  • It doesn't get ANY better than this.

  • Sick as always.

  • !!brilliant mastering work dude

  • awesome do u pick from your wrist in a constant up down motion or variated ....if u catch my drift

  • Awesome bro.

  • Really like this track, like your skills too. Nice work, Epic craziest FX I've never seen before at 1:29. :p

Anyway nice job, keep striking. :)

  • nailed it

  • Jo Ola!

Which program are you using to edit your videos?

    thx in advance

  • @Aramgeddon Hey, I'm using Imovie 9

  • @fearedse

oh man, that sucks i don't own a mac

  • @fearedse Mac FTW!

  • hey why did you use that cloth named fag-rag ?

  • @dinihak to dampen the higher strings.

  • @fearedse Meshuggah use adhesive tape right? Maybe that's only in the studio...

  • cover "sol niger within" :)

  • hmm.. you should go to the djentist ;)

  • Wow! I am speechless. I bow.

  • your nailed it and it doesnt even look like your right hand or wrist is straining AWESOME PICK CONTROL!!!

  • you made that seem a lot less painful to play then it is xD

  • the shit rag!!!

  • Is it your pet at 1:29? :D

  • @Beerenklauer that's Bosse

  • Lucky bastard to life next to the 'shuggah dudes and testdrive the Studioequipment from Fear and Loathing! The DAR will fucking rule the metal world, is it going to be used on the next Meshuggah album also?

  • watchin this makes my arm ache lol

  • Fuckin nailed it man. I was expecting to hear the original vocals, as in a play along scenario. But you did thw whole thing. I am blown away.

  • @bonuzround thanks man :)

  • @fearedse The bass tone is also great! What did you use for it?

  • @overdark33 Bass is Trilian, Studio Bass fingered to be precise.

  • @alt9001 Really? I would have never thought it could be a VSTi!

  • Hey could you possibly demo the Bugera 333 or the 333xl? and maybe show whats its like compaired to the 6262? please? :3

  • hey, I have the same chair :D

  • How about a Mesa Triple Recto + an 8 string?

  • Im just wondering if you have an amp of your own that you use because you prefer its particular sound. Is that true, perhaps?

  • @sesspleftocore I currently only own my Axe Fx rig but will receive my DAR Future breed machine soon,

  • this is tight.

  • Pure technique man! Scratchy sound? Where? :D

  • Ola, you look like John Tardy in a way! And your a extremely talented musician. No offense though.

  • Great work as always Ola! Would you mind sharing that great backing track you made for this clip :-)

  • STOP MAKING ME ANGRY!! :-D ... how do you double the guitar so well?

  • @stillrage what did I do?!

  • @fearedse Just kidding ... I envy your amp tests, ... by the way, even I like the engl sound this video came out really well

  • @fearedse I think he's asking that how did you double track your guitars so well

  • Kung!

  • I love the picking noise on this.

  • hey ola! iv been reading about the DAR amps future breed machines line and how you have been involved in the development, any chance you could give us a sneak peak of the amp that will be the result of it?

  • @KG739 something tells me there will be some clips in less than a month ;)

  • @fearedse nice, cant wait XD!!!

  • you should try a Fortin amp, totally the sickest amp I've ever heard.

  • @NatureofCircuitry already done... Search for Fortin Natas and you shall find.

  • This one sounds different then your other video's ... i like it!

  • Much better sounding than the original, but imo, that album sounds like shit from a production standpoint.

  • Probably one of the best covers of this song I've yet heard.

  • Tonally one of my favorite demo's you've done.

  • can you post a video of the 5150 using the RGA8? i have a 5150 coming up and will be using an RGA8 on it just want to hear how it would sound. love your stuff man!

  • @pings15pings it doesn't respond to well with 8-strings. I mean it works but other amps can handle it better.

  • @fearedse just as i thought. ;) thanks man!

  • You should attempt some Periphery in one of your videos, or since u have that 8 string, some Animals as Leaders!

  • I am totally in love of this amp

  • Hey man ! That's some classe playing there :) Cheerz

  • Should have done this song with a the DAR amp..

  • best bleed cover ive ever seen

  • @solidsnakec20 I agree!

  • hello ola, i have a question: do you record first the guitar and later the video or in real time? sorry for horrible english

  • AWESOME MAN!!! \m/ KEEP THAT SHRED UP!!! \m/

  • Ola BEST MESHUGGAH cover !!! yous just NAILED IT!

  • Hyvä idea....Suomalainen mikit! \m/

Really pleased that you went ahead and re-recorded this after those pissy-pants stock "pickups".

Not entirely convinced by the Diezel though. What amp would you think was best for this, without being overly partisan? ;-)

  • @Prostheta probably the new DAR Future breed machine...

  • @fearedse Those DAR amps sound massive without getting all "icy" in the demos I've seen so far. They even *look* good! I went totally modelling a while back so haven't really explored real amps much ;-)

Do you think the RGA sounds a nicer instrument than the RG2228? I can't stand Basswood bodies, so it's great to see Ibanez release a "Mahogany" bodied equivalent. I bet the cleans are a lot nicer....do the Rawdogs clean up well?

I owe you a beer for this video Ola! \m/

  • Still looking for a name of pups in that RGA8 of yours. Couldnt find it on their home page

  • @kevaso it's in the description. Rautia Rawdog8

  • You are a god, man ._. hahaha

  • I thought you said you ain't much a djent guy :P

  • @maxxxedd3000 but I'm playing a cover... I don't find my own stuff to sound djent? am I right?!

  • @fearedse Meshuggah was never "djent". Not even before the word was in existance. They were always metal!

  • Any tips for practicing the picking pattern (besides obvs using a metronome)? For the main riff it's triplet-one-triplet-one-triplet-one-etc....right?

  • hey can someone tell me the guitar effect on the solo part around 3:00?

  • @DOOM666Savage just hella reverb

  • how did you practice it to get it up to that speed?

  • I think the $120 Pod Pro they used sounds better than you $4000 amp.

How does that make you feel?

  • @Theneongray2 Dude they used Line 6 Vetta's.

  • @Erithlon

The best tone Meshuggah has was on the Nothing reissue and they used Line 6 Pod Pros, which I have seen for $120 used. And I just saw a used Vetta for $340... My point is you can get a better tone than this for 1/33rd the cost.

  • @Theneongray2 "1/33rd..." HaHa! I see what you did there. LOL

  • @Theneongray2 Yeah i had a pod and saying it can even begin to touch a Diezel is insane. My Herbert is the best $3k i've ever spent on gear.

  • @Theneongray2 Try one in person.

  • @spguitar

I have played a VH4 before, and have heard several. The scratchy metallic compressed sound and tightness didn't impress me at all. I like that you assume I have never played one lol, all cork sniffer hacks think they have something so secret and special.

  • @Theneongray2 How about a Herbert? I can see why you wouldn't care for the compression of the VH4 but the Herbert is far more open sounding.

  • @spguitar

The Herbert sounds better but still has the metallic sound that makes the distortion sound unnatural compared to an old Dual Rectifier, a Soldano SLO, VHT Ultralead, Powerball, or even a 5150... I don't get why anyone would pay over $900 for the Herbert sound... It never impressed me at all so I have to laugh at the fanboys for their elitism, especially when they say it sounds so much "better" than something else when it is a youtube clip so compressed it sounds like an am radio.

  • @Theneongray2 I have no idea where you're getting the unnatural tone from. My herbert with KT88s is extremely warm and articulate without sounding all metallic. I'll post some really well recorded clips in a couple days.

  • @spguitar

Most people that spends too much money on gear tend to have a tin ear.

  • @Theneongray2 This is where i stop taking you seriously lol. That's just ignorant. Tell that to David Gilmour.

  • @spguitar

Do you know what "most people" means? You seem a little slow.

  • @Theneongray2 Oh and i'm not a hack. I've been playing professionally since i was 17. Nearly 10 years.

  • @spguitar

    Not impressed.

  • @spguitar please guys, lets all be friends! Or I'll delete everyone of your comments like a nazi :D

  • @Theneongray2 please guys, lets all be friends! Or I'll delete everyone of your comments like a nazi :D

  • Different tuning?

  • @metallicamike yeah I did it in standard E.

  • @fearedse ahaha
