  • anche io vorrei farne una così...

  • I just started a Blue WVH Frankenbass, Thank You!

  • Dude, ur awesome, I just finished making my second.

  • Thank you, looking a your tape i was able to make one too.

  • there needs to be a quarter next to the bridge

  • Creed - Rain

  • what type of paint did you use for this?

  • you forgot something the viynl pick guard other then that fucking awsome

  • that one is awsome but i have a question i mademy own just like in the videos but then as i started taping for the white stripes the back whereleft behind then i painted it red and after the paint the black stripes that were suppose to not be there they should be red they stayed vissible its hard to explain do you mind if i send ou a picture

  • 1.Spray Paint your guitar black

2.Then, put the taping on it then spray paint it black

3.Put more tape on it and spray paint it red

    4.(Optional) Spray it with gloss

  • uhh dude you need to get the floyd rose original tremelo caus eddie uses that kind of tremolo and if you dont use that kind of tremelo it kinda looke retarded and incomplete

  • Hey man that guitar looks insane, Im building a guitar myself(not a frankenstrat just a guitar) Im using reranch paint but Im not sure about the finish did you use any polyeurothane or a laquer finish? Guitar looks great, Peace.

  • use lacquer

  • Dude where did you get the printout of the stripe design?

  • You really should've just kept it white and black. Squiers don't have the same pick up setup as the red black and white. I'm making a white and black one with my Squier body and I'm buying a new strat neck. Alls I'll need is a nice pickup and a pickguard to go with it.

  • what website did u get the black and white picture on

  • i need to know what type of paint and tape you used and what did you use to make the tape in smaller strips

  • scissors

  • sick guitar man :D how much did it cost all together?

  • On Eddie's original frankenstrat the small black stripes were automobile pinstripe. One of them even got torn and landed in a weird shape. Thats why when he painted the red over it the small stripes were gone. He removed the pinstriping before he sprayed the red...

  • just so all of you know, the standard strat body is already carved out so that you can fit a humbucker at the bridge without and modifications. i dont mind fucking around so i used the strat that i already had to make a frankenstein

  • ye but i want to make an agzact copy

  • Great job! I wanna buy an Squier Stratocaster and paint it black/white Eddie style.

  • how do you no where to put the tape

  • you put it anywhere you want

  • no you look at photos unless you want to fuck it up

  • Only one problem. Eddie's small white stripes were auto pinstripe and he removed them all before he sprayed the red.

  • I meant black stripes...

  • what do u mean auto pin striped black?

  • does the humbucker get it to sound close to Ed's?

  • hey how do u get the pickups to stay un the holes and work right without the pickguard bc im workin on my own frankenstein

  • NICE very well done man. excellent job that thing looks sweet!

  • Looks cool. You gotta' age it though so it looks used and abused like Ed's. Check mine out, it looks exactly like his.

  • I'm looking to do this! Thanks

  • looks nice. I'm gonna be makin' one too pretty soon. 2 questions though... Did u put on more than one coat of red and did u use primer and laquer finish? Thanks.

  • Yes! To cover the black and white I put three coats of red, and than I put a Transparent coat.

  • song?

  • Panama!!

  • i want to do the same but fluorscent

  • Im making mine. but thats a total beauty

  • hey, just a question, im thinkin of redoing my gibson les paul like his 5150 les paul. i know how to do it but im kinda afraid of taking it all apart is it easy? soz if it sounds stupid i'v never takin one apart before

  • Gran trabajo amigo¡¡¡¡

    good job man¡¡¡

  • except the pickguard that was good

  • dang thats nice... im goin to make my own soon!

  • wat kind of spraypaint did u use???

  • Sorry to say this is the first time I've seen a EVH paintjob that was that bad... You pretty much just threw some lines on there...

  • i thought it was good... even better than Eddies.

  • You can't have a replica better than Eddie's, because Ed's is the actual thing...

  • I understand that...but the paint job on Eddies wasn't perfect. When he built it, he wasn't trying for perfection. The lines on the original aren't nearly as crisp as the ones on this replica.

  • The smaller stripes on it when it was black and white were actually just electric tape.

  • haha...when I got a red guitar, i just put masking and electric tape all over it. it actually looks cool.

  • woah there u went waaay to far

  • THANK YOU!! for showing exactly where to put the tape for the white and black finish.

  • man what kind of paint did you use like brand gloss or the type of red white and black

  • can you put a floyd rose on a telecaster please respond

  • It'isnt so easy, but it is possible...If you see John5 guitars you can see a tele with floyd...

  • okay thanks

  • did you use a clear coat on top of that or just the paint that has a gloss finish?

  • clear coat ;-)

  • Now all you have to do is abuse the crap out of it and you got a genuine eddy guitar!

  • u know krylon spraypaint makes a plastic adhesive paint u can use on the single coil cover to make it red.

  • what kind of brand paint did u use

  • I used a common paper tape

  • its shiney as hell. was it tacky

  • Hey, I'm about to start with my paint job on my Floyd Rose guitar and I've got a few questions if you don't mind:

1.- Where did you get the pictures from the original guitar I see you print them out when you were using the masking tape.

2.How's the sound of the JB on the bridge, I'm planning to put a SH-2 on the neck too

3.Did you use a regular fender pick guard?

    4. Did you buff the paint at the end or in between stages?

    Thanks

  • 1. web

    2. The sound of Jb is great..full of mid and bass, but cmbined with a maple fingerboar, is great!

    3. Yes, then I cut it

    4. I wait about 20 minutes between the stages.

  • FUCKIN AWESOME. im doing that to my guitar!!!

  • i get the first part paint it black.put white tape over leave the tape on.then paint the guitar white peel the white tape. then put white tape over it.paint it red then peel the second tape off but wouldnt the red cover up the black

  • ya but the white covers up the black paint sometimes pay close attention

  • mostly everybody does this because it costs an arm to buy a frankenstrat. why not build one like eddie?

  • an Arm, how about the neck down

  • fantastic! i'm planning to do this to, but! i don't realy know what paints to use, can you suggest some? thanks.

  • Hi i used acrilic colors in spry! it isn't too much difficult...

  • i mady my own too sout of an 85 kramer

    check it out.

  • cool guitar....im making the black and white version just now..cant wait until its finished

  • I'm making the same guitar too! I'm using a scalopped maple fingerboard, a floyd rose lic. bridge, and a seymour duncan '59 or a Jeff beck..i'don't know...
