  • It's copying the forklifts that helped make it...

  • wouldnt it be weird if all forklifts were replace with robots like this? lol

  • Great:)

  • why does it have 5 wheels?

  • nice idea.

    for more projects

  • good job

  • Pretty nice

  • the two sticks in the front have to be stiffer to carry heaver loads

  • Your's Bluetooth works ?

My bluetoth in mindstorm doesn't works.

  • thousands of hours of tedious work....pinpoint communications and accuracy....for what? "it lifts a ball"

  • Awesome!

  • amazing man

  • Слава роботам ))))

Pardon, je ne comprende pas tu.

  • What the hell are those people talking about in the background?

  • @placemat59 its called a t.v

  • @placemat59 sex. paid male companions

  • How did you program this thing? Did you use labview?

  • Thats pretty cool, but why is there a caster in the back along with the two wheels?

  • is it going to a predetermined spot for the balls and shelves or actually finding them on it's own? Either way good job but (P.O.) the latter would be cooler.

  • @SomeDumbDesertDude I'm pretty sure it is predetermined but uses sensors to account for errors.

  • Cool! Good job.

  • Great job with the forklift. It's really cewl, I watched this vid a couple of times and didn't understand how it works... yet.

I'm building a forklift too, your vid really helped me with the ideas for him. Thanks.

  • oh cool

  • this is great!!!

  • its walle

  • lol kinda

  • its really good but it slides to much 3***

  • Good work. Logic and variable block system, correct? I just finished up a program where the robot has to find the "light at the end of the tunnel" in order to "escape from Alcatraz." lol. Uses rotating platform with attatched light sensor physically and a logic block, variable block, and target block system to determine which way is right.

  • is it hard to program it?

i've tried several task but yet i cant do it nicely.. hehe..

can u tell me how did u program it?

  • cool robot

  • Hey cool!... good work..

  • Have you got building instructions and a program for this? Its great.

  • @dowde2 yes it is

  • @dowde2 nxtprograms(dot)com

  • Superb!

  • oh nice.

  • My robot is similar!!! We use gears but the movement is the same...

  • You have used the Color Sensor in this moc?

    NICE!

  • Heyyy!

    Erm,

Through My Eyes Your A Fuckin' Genius,

Because All I Can Do With Mine,

Is Make That Fuckin' Car :P

    I Need Instructions,

  • can you instal a sound when he goes back?

  • Comment removed

  • Well done!

  • Nice forklift truck !!!

  • how does the mindstorm nxt set cost?

  • aobout 260

  • i got mine brandnew from a yard sale for 20 bucks never opened.

  • so just programmed that the sensor do nothing you don't even have a color sensor

  • lol, you n00b. You can use the light sensor to detect shades of colors!

  • "lol you n00b You can use the light sensor to..."

I didn't find that really amusing.

    (lol=Laughing Out Loud)

  • thats how the light sensor works!!!

  • It is, it is. But how does that have anything to do with my comment?

  • i know but i was responding to the chefmaster guy... i didn't mean to respond to you...

  • how?????? brighter colours will have more light intensity than darker ones??

So you can use it to actually tell red from yellow?

  • You can distinguish some colors from each other.

Like... Yellow and red... They have different light intensities, because yellow is brighter.

Black and blue can be difficult to distinguish.

For better accuracy you can buy the color sensor.

  • Very cool. What exactly is it doing? I mean is it finding the balls and the rack or just blindly doing a preset routine? Either way I like it a lot.

  • please tell me which sensors u used if u mad3 it

  • whats in the backround??

  • test pad that came with the box. black line for the line follower and the color pad to test the color sensor and the light sensor.

then the start area to test to grab the ball off the stand on the other end.

  • I WISH I HAD IT BUT ITS TO EXPENSE

  • i got one for 20 bucks brand new never been opened at the neighboorhood yard sale

  • what kind of kids did does you neighbor have?? must be a lazy one.

  • yeah they dont know that its pretty neat to mke stuff with this. this is what ive been wanting to do for my hobbie to make things.

  • thats so cool

  • how the hell do u do this???

  • you program the thing that comes with it. It's a little processor thing that controls many things on what ever you want to build and it has different sensors that you can get and there is this software that you use to write some program for it.

  • abd schools worldwide are starting a Lego NXT Robotics club, with very competitive competitions. if you read my username, it contains "withTechnology" so, im

"with" technology. i forgot the point of this comment...

  • this is all done from rotations and what colour the ball is right?

not remote controll or full sensor?!

  • hey thats pretty cool

  • wow thats way better than anything ive made....which equals about 1.

  • slim bedacht, heb je geen tandwielheugel nodig

  • nice... thats really sweet!

  • cool

  • i remember you working on it you finally got it done!!

    Jessica

  • I get proud, when i see quality from my country denmark, can`t made thinks like that, we can, LEGO !, from the city

    Billund !

  • Lego NXT Mindstorms - Trash Sorter

    /watch?v=RqKV-q4OGbU

  • Bravo

  • stupid

  • i read this and i dint post this to other vids but i didnt see her. can u pls tell her to come find me? thanks.

  • I don't have a closet, where will she hang? I feel guilty for not giving her a place to hang. You could hang from the tree in my back garden if you like though.

  • wow thats great

  • IS it RC or is it programmed?

  • No..Mindstorms are programmable robots.

Also you can buy seperately sold IR or bluetooth modules to control them

  • you can program it using your cell phone

  • ne menge arbeit steckt dahinter ...

  • ne menge arbeit steckt dahinter ...

  • Nice work.

  • sweet nice one mate

  • Odometry is when you base your movement on the rotation of your wheels, knowing the radius of each wheel and the distance between the wheels. Of course, there is always some error and slip so odometry is usually accompanied by error detection code. just google it and you should have no problem. Wikipedia is usually the best.

  • lol, lame, its just a preset program and has 0 environment recognition. It couldn't tell the difference between the blue or red ball at all and its fairly obvious in the video.

  • So you've built one of these then hmmm? Care to post a video of how it should look?

    - Mike

  • I've not built an forklift, but I've built a precision wall follower, a Tribot that moves to precise locations using odomentry, a ping pong ball canon, a line follower, a seesaw that balances a ball on its tracks, and I'm working on a bot that will sense its environment to map out the terrain and obstacles using odomentry. I would love to show my work on youtube, but I barely have enough time (apart from the 30 mins I spend with email, replies, and forums).

So yes, this is nothing impressive.

  • What is odomentry? Do you know of a good resource which explains?

  • no it's not R/C! this bot has been programmed with a special programming-software of lego mindstorms.

coolcool! I'll try to do this by myself :-)

  • wait a minute! thats not R/C?

  • COOL!

  • very cool. Does it do color recognition to know what ball goes on what shelf? Nice stand alone gizmo.

  • you can make it do that, but this one's a pre-set program I think, if you swapped the colors i doubt it would switch, he doesn't seem to have a navigiation program or anything

  • I noticed that it metered the light from the first ball, but not the second ball. Leads me to believe it's preset.

  • Yeah, i had to do that on the claw i made, it wouldent do that with the other light sensor on the ball...

  • lol it shud have lifted the whole thing

  • WOOOOOOOW O,O"

  • thats is really awesome

  • AMAZING!!! IT PUT BALLS ON A SHELF!!! sigh......i wish i could put balls on shelves.

  • haha yeh my balls are still loose

  • lol

  • fluke

  • Is it possible to buy something like this?

  • Its called lego mindstorms, dumbass.

  • Lol yeah im a dumbass cause i never knew what it is o.O thanks!

  • Um...sure?

  • That's so cool! (I want one)

  • That will make more money than you will ever dream of...

    :)

  • yay...

  • i was talking to vman416.He said "nerd"

  • nerd

  • what thing you let the forklift to lift up the thing motor?

  • wow not

  • OH SNAP LEGO MINDF*CK!!!

  • Hey, i saw this at toys "r" us for like $300..

the lego mindstorm thing i mean, I wish i could of bought it </3

  • How long did that take u to program???

  • where can i find that computer thing? and a motor

  • you can find just about any lego part on bricklink dot com.

  • ooouufff wtf is that i want some of that ghetto leggo

  • thats pro sauce

  • I love how people watch this video, realize that they're jealous of their programming skills and say that the video is "gay" and that they are "nerds" because they can actually do something with Lego.

  • lol i think it comes with instructions

  • ppl still need signs tht say watch your step so tht means nothing

  • so many ppl jealous lol...

they get pissed and tell him w/e

they must b jerk who have no friends ;)

i think its pretty cool ;)

  • He programmed the robot to work within a restricted area, he also used lasers, or some type of beam to control the lift, and stop at a certain point.

  • So this isn't remote controlled but rather you taught this robotic forklift to move all on its own?

  • he did, but he applied it to this area. If he wer to re-arrange the balls, the shelf and the black lines, everything would go wrong.

  • it kinda is i think u can program it to do things but u gotta control it of course

  • ownage...

  • pwnage

  • do u guys even know whet a lego brain stormer is it a divice that gives the legos a mind so it can move and stuff

  • it's called mindstorm cuz you give a 'mind' to the bricks. It can't think! you program it with the computer to respond on sensors and use motors. the right combination of programming and build makes things like this. (and even with a restricted area its hard to do this)

  • Awesome

  • I have to get one of those :D

  • theese got more iq than me...

  • nice programing

  • e7VjsPkHiSxaMmUWL stop fucking saying that on all these vids

  • coolio

  • Wow that must've taken forever to get the route correct! At that point it's probably easier to make it guide itself lol

  • nice work

  • grammer nazi

    lmfao

  • NOT good =)

  • So is the forklift on a predetermined route or what?

  • lol XD cool

  • This is really sweet, great job man, and for the people who know nothing about legos, also dont know how hard it is to do something like that.

  • ok, if your going to waste time putting up degrading comments about how bad the video is, why the hell did you watch the video in the first place! i mean, were not wasting your time, because you were the one who originally opened up the video

  • I hate fags that think their gay comments are good enough to put on YouTube.

  • I hate the fags that watch videos they don't even like then complain as if it's the video maker's fault...

  • cute

  • sweet

  • i love te scanning system on your stuff :P

  • cool

  • very very very nice there mate, keep on going, it might be the real thing some day..;) nice

  • very cool mate, now program it to take beer cans n stuff to you while your sitting down, hahahaha

  • That's extremely cool
