Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved this video. I have been looking into Wicca and probably just scratching the surface for about 2 years now. I am really into becoming a practicing Wiccan but I worried about how my friends would see me. There are many great websites out there - but two books I would really recommend for a beginner about Wicca are Scott Cunningham's Wicca a Guide for the Solitary practitioner (it also has a sequel) and Solitary Witch by Silver Ravenwolf.

I have a lot of pride in my life; I have pride in how open minded I try to remain, how adamantly STUBBORN I am when my parents try to persuade me to be someone I'm not (I'm a gay & proud youth, which doesn't swing with most Christian parents), and I'm proud to know so many great people who should be equally proud to be who THEY are.

My sexuality was the main reason I left Christianity, but not the reason I DECIDED to leave; I hope that didn't come out too confusing.

If I became a Wiccan, it would be because I'm convinced that they are the best religion to fit me personally- not because of my sexuality, but because of many factors such as their belief in spirits and magick- along with their viewpoints and open-mindedness.

I really don't think I can risk it, due to prejudices and potential discrimination in professional circles in the particular industry I'm invovled in.
