what would you guys choose... the teraflex 2.5" lift with shocks OR the teraflex 3" lift with shocks. there are 2 of each kit, one with the teraflex shocks and one with bilstein shocks. im very new to this and do not know what the difference of each kit is?
@circa331 what you need to know is that the 2.5" kit will give you about 3" of lift and the 3" kit will give you closer to 4". this matter if you have a 2-door as at this height, you will need to change out your rear drive shaft sooner than later. also, it matters if you have an auto as at this height, you will need to change out your front shaft as well as the factory one will make contact with your tranny. bilstein shocks are nicer than the TF shocks.
@circa331 for the most part, yes. with the 3" kit, you will most likely feel the need to add a set of adjustable front lower control arms as they will help you to add some positive caster and that'll make your jeep handle better at highway speeds.
this video is just amazing!! i love the jeeps! :) i have a 1982 jeep scrambler! we just took it off-roading at trabuca creek... and its set for sherman pass road! the coral way! :) i heard SD Ca. has legit areas?
@adanac96 a budget boost is just a set of coil spacers that get installed on top of your coils. these are cheap and easy to install - a great option if you're on a "budget". a 3" procomp lift will have taller replacement coils but, i'm no fan of procomp products - they are cheap for a reason.
@wayalife where did you hear that? only problems people have are running the wrong oil in the MDS versions and driving stupid. worked for dodge since 01 and have seen one replaced under warranty. the rest were all from owners stupidity. even then only 4-5 in 7 years.
@blueduster74 you'll forgive me but, i didn't hear it from anywhere - i personally know several people that have put hemi's in their JK's and they have been having problems with them over heating. they have been working though it and have been getting things better but it has been a chore and they are far from what i would consider "stupid" people or drivers.
@wayalife your earlier response wasn't real clear. did not know you meant hemi's swapped into jeeps, just hemi's in general. the "stupid" people i mean are those with ram trucks towing WAY more than their truck was rated for, running power programmers and generally abusing the crap out of their trucks. did not call your friends stupid, your response was too general and seemed to be trashing a great engine. i know mopar built some that were at Moab last year.
@blueduster74 it's all good and ya gotta know that i'm a big time HEMI fan and wish that the new jeeps came with them from the factory. as you've realized, i was referring to 5.7's and 6.1's that get swapped into JK's. and, as i mentioned, the problems my friends have been having are started to get worked out.
there are some amazing trails in the sierrias on the california and the nevada side. Hard to find an unoccupied area on the weekends which is sad- go during the week. I spent my youth in the sierrias and remember building some of the fire rings 15 years ago and now they are still being used every weekend... cool stuff.
I've been there several times with my 2003 Pathfinder. The road is easier than it looks on this video, and Monache Meadows, if you go there as soon as the snow melts or late Fall before the snows start again are a really nice area to camp. Gets busy during the summer, though!
hey guys may i just say that y'all keep me alive while im at work each weekend, i work the graveyard shift at a hospital here in town and i just sit here all night just watch you guys. however i do have a question, i see you guys drive stick, im abit new to wheeling and end up stalling out sometimes trying to go up hill or over rocks, how do i keep from stalling without burning up my clutch??
LOL!! glad to hear it. regarding your question, there's nothing wrong in stalling your jeep and i would recommend it over burning out your clutch. what helps a lot is using your e-brake to help you out on tough climbs. crank it up, start accelerating/let off the clutch and as you feel it pull forward, slowly release your e-brake. that will give you a lot more control.
Like so much "new music" what you use has a downer feel, and what you are doing with the Jeeps is such an upper, it would be better just to here the Jeeps doing their thing....
I have a quick question. I have posted how I love your videos. but in watching them all I notice there is a little advertising for full traction lifts. do they sponsor some of you guys?
They should call this "the inspirational channel", can't waite till I can do the same in my 07 jk. love your videos, I am new to this...very inspiring. fan for life....
Thank you, I'm glad to hear you liked our video. The song you heard are: 1) The Adventure by Angles & Airwaves 2) An Honest Mistake by the Bravery 3) Summer Rain by ATB
Just like Summer Rain! ATB! Hey keep the sweet videos coming and your music selections always rule! Even finished with a geocache! I geocache to ATB all the time, LOL.

@waylife any suggustions for mod my jeep scrambler? like lift wise?
Alexkido12 7 months ago
@Alexkido12 if you can afford it, do a coil conversion. if you can't, make sure to lift your jeep with taller leaf springs and not with shackles.

@wayalife ok, its a 4 door manual so the 2.5" or 3" would both work without having to do other modifications correct?

do you think its worth to get a hemi installed in to your jeep? you guys know any fun trails in the Mammoth area?
SweatyFunSeeker 1 year ago
@SweatyFunSeeker in my opinion, no, a hemi is not worth it especially being that there are so many problems people are having with them.
as far as trails go, there's wheeler ridge and laurel lakes - nothing hard but nice and fun
