hey arty the fonz was someone who helped the people and kept em from smoking, protected em from gangs and many other good things you just dont like people in leather jackets well there are many of us and get used to it and even though i wear leather i am building a future for myself to go to the united states naval academey so sit on it.

There is nothing cool about this character, he's a sad underachiever who hangs out with people half a generation younger than himself as they're the only group that he can hope to impress.
Ten years from the time we see him, he would be nothing more than an embarrassment to Richie Cunningham and his middle class peers. They would have nothing in common with The Fonz and would not want him in their social circle.
