I hate to break it to everybody but this housing bubble has steadily gotten worse, through the years. The real estate company's made millions by artificially inflating the housing market, the banks were in on it, but didn't care because they promptly sold the notes or had insurance to cover them. 30 years ago you could buy a 3 bedroom house for $40,000, just before the crisis they were selling for $200,000. The cost of materials didn't go up that much in 30 years.

Plenty of Genesis leaves gaps that the whole evolutionary theory fills nicely. Why couldn't God let evolution take hold? Fear not. USA has stolen more from chinese than foreign countries stole from USA. Becouse USA has been trading dollars for products. But in the end such trade has damaged USA industry.

Interesting Beck's comment about the sanctity of contract law. To answer your question, the money went overseas because of so called 'counter-party risk'. The UK banks etc were insured against AIG's products failing by Credit Default Swaps - the sanctity of contract law. Yet there was no legal framework nor indeed precedents for Paulson's 'support' for failing US Banking institutions
