The USA keeps alot of secrets from the public. Mostly military equipment and aircraft. We have the best fighter/stealth jet in the world. The F-22. And if you think that is good than just imagine what we have in secret.

If some magically powerful country goes to war with us than China will help because we buy all their goods. And if some nation goes to war with China we will have to help them because they have our debt. We are competing economically but military. We are not. Its just stupid to do something like that.
@fdoca Ground troops are nothing for the US military. These days a crew of a AC-130 gunship can do extreme destruction on a army. And so can drones and AH-64 Apache helicopters. The average solider is becoming more worthless because technology is replacing him. Well at least in the USA. You can't compare the USA and China militarily because everyone knows that the USA is dominate in that category.
@joseph591 Sure, future war is sub and UAV missil interceptor, stike station, China is catching up so rapidly, it surprise US defense Dept & z congress, China already mfg similar to apache hilicopter, AC-130 gunship is too slow, China use J-11B and other 2 models heavyfighter jet bumber instead, TF-21D, mach 10, "Kill weapon", HQ-9, TF-40, 4.5th generation stealth fighterjet soon in production line for export(for defense force only) and so many more still not release to public.

Nope, Cat is going to be donated as a landmark to Wilmington, NC (given the connection to the state - she'll be in the same area as USS North Carolina). Alternately, Kitty Hawk may be sold to India as a sweetener to get them to buy Super Hornets. It'd be a big step up from HMS Hermes, their only carrier right now. The news report confused 'decommissioning at Bremerton' with 'scrapping at Bremerton'. With the fire on GW, the date is going to be pushed back to when George Bush is comm'd.
i highly doubt that we'd sell her to india cause we need her as a war reserve but by the way this country does things it wouldn't suprise me, i mean we blew up CV-66 so we could make it into a reef!!!
oh and btw that wasn't the oldest carrier...the uss enterprise is still active and was and still the oldest carrier
