What makes the X2 so unique is that it makes use of an advancing blade concept that improves lift by cancelling out the drag induced by the retreating rotor. Previously this produced too much vibration but by careful study new techniques are applied that eliminates this problem.
@Rambo841 Nope, first off dual blade systems existed since the dawn of helicopters. Second, the co-axial system on the Kamov is distinctly different from the system on the X-2. Specifically the blades themselves. Thirdly, the two helicopters fill different niches. The Kamov is designed as a flying, the X-2 is being designed as a fast attack platform (for now at least).
It is not a Kamov copy.
