  • One of my favorite songs. I wish there was more live videos of Jeff Buckley :(

  • I didn't know that James Franco had a rock band in the 90's. He was pretty good by the way.

  • Love this song. Still relevant & up-to-date years later....timeless. What a legacy to leave behind.

  • This song will always remind me of a very special girl who I still love more than she'll ever know. <3 <3 <3

  • @altimita check out "the daily mail" by radiohead and read top comment please :)

  • His glance around the room in the wake of the song's ending is one of hurt, as if something was done to him, as if the performance itself was a girl breaking Jeff's heart, as if our viewing of this rendition was somehow an act of sadism.

Few other musicians can impart so much artistry in five minutes. x

  • love, only LOVE this music!

  • he should kill himself!

  • Should have been song of the year in 94'.

  • Ah, that's better, I had to watch this to recover from the shock I got when I heard Scarlett Johansson slaughtering this piece...

  • @Surrilium Yes! Me too! Horrible....horrible stuff.

  • fans of jeff should check out matthew santos

  • @yansquared1113

    or Matt Corby

  • RIP .... Sad loss to the world

  • 39 people were born without a soul.

  • no strbelight beams, no glitter-clothes, no video-animations, not evengo-go-dancers

but more heart, inspiration and music than many others.

    love and peace

    Conradus

  • oh the range in his voice.. it just wraps you up like a warm blanket on a night filled with chills and lost love

  • His life, his father's life.. cut way too short. I would have loved to hear them together. Yeah, niobeyoo.. once you've become obseesed with Jeff, you are forever infatuated with him.. it's never over

  • Can hardly believe it... he's up there with all the big, worldwide known names, #39 on the Rolling Stone 100 Greatest singers of all times! Chris Cornell, who knew him personally, writes a good story. Must read.

  • Too awesome for words.

  • Un alma especial. Voz privilegiada.

  • so uplifting

  • Gorgeous in Every possible way, Talented beyond Belief, such an Angelic Voice showing so much Soul, Perfection at the most finest.... xxx

  • this is the first song that I sang to my ex boyfriend... nice way to start

  • I know you used to hate this comparison Jeff... but you look a lot like Tim on this video.

  • Niobeyoo...ditto...if u r a JB fan his music becomes a part of your soul...

  • Oh lord, why did you forsake us and take away our Jeff?

  • 38 dickheads

  • Still one of my favs!

  • is this Avalon guitar?

  • Once you become obsessed with Jeff, you are forever infatuated with him. This is beautiful.

  • @niobeyoo if you like jeff buckley, then you'll love backstreet boys, truth

  • I love Jeff Buckley, his singing was always so emotional! The good die young... This song means so much to me now tho, it used to be a good song, now it has meaning to my life... It's truly a Goodbye this time around... I understand it now...

  • When I saw Jeff live it was because I loved Tim's music. Together they tingled my human senses. They are still beautiful.

  • The bass guitarist is freaking me out

  • lovely

  • @Griptease2 agree so much. James Franco would be perfection playing Jeff Buckley if it ever happened!

  • HIs voice is heavenly.

  • LOVE JEFF BUCKLEY! Awesome singer! =D

  • Too traditional for THAT iPod

    Too raw and unpretentious

    Beautiful raw unrestrained talent

For the whole world to lift

    There is no last Goodbye

    Best wishes to All XXXOOO

  • I MISS YOU JEFF

  • I read that Robert Pattinson may be considered for a Buckley bio......thinking good choice...thx for posting

  • @fingletoad In my opinion, that would be a good choise, but I know that they have chosen Reeve Carney!

  • Agreed...this is "God's Ipod" and I betch He has one...thanks for posting.

  • James Franco looks like Jeff Buckley,, A LOT!

  • hahaha!! I've always said that!!! :)

  • hahaha!! I've always said that!!! :)

  • @kristenShae1 Awesome :)

  • Thing is when your such an amazing singer you get overlooked as guitar player. JB plays guitar so well. Only Geddy Lee combines instrumental skills and singing in one package to an equal notch

  • i see why people are comparing him to God.. i mean, he's amazing and all, but he's no jeff buckley!

  • @altimita the same can be said for 1000 other musicians.

  • Everytime I hear Jeff Buckley I fall deeper in love with him. I miss him terribly, music just isn't the same without him :(

  • Is it true James Franco is being considered for a part in a biographical movie about JB??

  • Poetry just poetry; of only he was still here; the music world has a whole in its heart than can never be filled; its lyrics its song falling short. If only we could hear him now... RIP Jeff we'll keep on singing and remembering. One voice forever.

  • He went way too soon.. RIP

  • All these comparisons to Yorke or Franco or anybody else is a joke JB was imbued by God to give us his music. Only for just a little while, man him gone that sucks,

  • Very good Jeff,

    Thanks.

  • he looks just like his daddy. both gone too soon.

  • James Franco resembles Jeff Buckley.

  • @bawhite125 He should play him on a movie... They look like brothers.

  • @bawhite125 your totally right, they should make a documentary with James Franco as Jeff Buckley like they did Joaquin Phoenix with Johnny Cash

  • @bawhite125 he shold be jeff in a movie... haww :D

  • this is superb live. Jeff was so talented and sexy... shame he's not here anymore.

  • so awsome being a buckley

hope in some maocal way i was related to this gun both tim and jeff buckley aswome

jarred buckley fro, lil ol nz

  • Listened to this countless times - can never stop.

  • Matthew Bellamy, Thom Yorke and Chris Martin should thank Jeff.

  • @hurtadopablo92 Thom Yorke was already around.

  • soooo 90s!

  • LAST GOODBYE so ironic

  • It's heartbreaking that he's not still with us.. Have a listen to our new tune 'Lucid- Choices'?

  • I still think he's a genius! ;-)

  • Pretty sure, This is on God's I-Pod

  • @nanaskitty "Pretty sure this is on God's iPod" would've been the correct way to type that. Inserting a random comma and capitalizing 50% of the words does not make it a gramatically correct sentence.

  • @DudermanGG So what?? I'm here to listen to great music and write down my opinion. Who cares about this fucking comma? Who cares about your gramatically correct sentences?

  • @nanaskitty You used the comma to indicate the pace you thought the comment at. Don't listen to envious nitpickers.

  • @nanaskitty god cant exist otherwise Jeff would still be with us today.

  • What a uniqie, and marvelous voice!! You left us too soon Jeff.

  • why did the talented musician people just have to die early?? Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Layne Staley, Robert Johnson and then Jeff Buckley.......SO SUCKS... now we have lady gaga, lil wayne, pussycat dolls?!!? Fuck!!!

  • @reverend07 What about Nick Drake and Tim Buckley?

  • @reverend07 elliott smith!

  • @reverend07 i get annoyed with these comments, bro there's allways been shit on the mainstream radio there are still good artists out there, jeff buckley was practically unknown till he died

  • @reverend07 It does seem that some of my favorite artists die young but that doesn't stop me from loving what they created when they were alive. Don't worry about who gets more exposure, listen to what you love and that's all that matters.

  • @reverend07 And Freddy Mercury among the lost, of course. :)

  • @reverend07 most likely because Jeff and the other legends live (and die) for their music

  • @reverend07 Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Hillel Slovak,

  • @reverend07 And lady gaga n' crew will probably live to see 100...)=

  • @reverend07 they want to live forever^^

  • whoever disliked this is mentally retarded so..

  • damm you river

  • Wicked song

  • He was such a legend Genius.. Check our tune out?

  • @RocksOff1039 Your taste has evidently deserted you.

  • @RocksOff1039 You're entitled to your opinion, that's for sure. My opinion would be that this is a great tune sung but a very talented young man who died incredibly too early and who left some of the most beautiful music I've ever listened to so I consider this a treasure and not some "boring" or "overrated" act. I don't worship this guy but to say he was anything less than an amazing artist is folly....in my opinion

  • Does anyone know where this song can be found as part of a live album or similar? Thanks

  • @Danielvanderpoll This version is on the Live in Chicago DVD along with So real acoustic.

  • les meilleurs sont partis ! quel dommage !

  • falling in love..

  • best love song every no modern artist can imitate jeff and his angelic voice

  • funny - cant stop thinking of freddy mercury when i hear jeff - there vibrato is very much a like ... freddy was tecnically a better singer though, where jeff plays more on that sad melancholy feeling ....genius is maybe a big word - i would call him a medium singer/songwriter/guitarist - good in small doses :-)

  • @morlyng get outta here... freddy mercury a better singer my a***... i take it you're a virtuoso singer/songwriter/guitarist yourself to be able to pass judgement in the first place but even if you were your words are still utter tosh!

  • Jeff Buckley's a dream *_*

  • AGREE AGREE AGREE

  • I like it when it doesn't matter if you're listening to the recorded version or live bcuz it sounds the same

  • i love how haunting all his songs are, its like he knew he was going to die

  • Fuckin incredible. Today's music is all unoriginal crap, and its a shame that he died. Rest in piece Jeff Buckley, your music will live on

  • Ruined by the bassist

  • The James Dean of music.

  • This is the first song that I hear by Jeff Buckley and mannnnn, it's amazing!!

  • Comment removed

  • What really sucks is that this is just to pretty to be a goodbye song, it should be an "our song"

  • for Amy Winehouse.

  • I like the bassist's hat/hair combo.

  • Spitting image of his father!!!!!!!!

  • Is it possible to fall head over heels for a voice?

  • Thank you Jeff!

  • Jeff is such an orginal and soulful singer -- now I see what all the fuss is about. He is great.

  • he has a great voice...and everytime, I listen to Thom Yorke singing...It's Jeff Buckley who pops out in my head...

  • damn i hate this song =(

it reminds me of the last time when i met my boyfriend

he was gonna fly back to his country while i cant go with him

i dont wanna be defeated by those fucking 7 timezones, but i think i am

    sucks =(

  • influence of Thom Yorke right here (and probably of a lot more)

love it. Quite the band the one forming in heaven.

  • @PaLiFoNk No offense, but that's a bit of a ridiculous statement. For starters, Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke were contemporaries in the early 90s--one could not have influenced the other. For second, Jeff Buckley didn't do anything that wasn't done by Tim Buckley (the father he never knew) in the early 70s. Or Nick Drake. Or Tim Hardin. Or any other folk singer with extraordinary range. Those are Yorke's influences--he says as much.

  • @bigdckrick i know the timeline. In fact i think Radiohead is even older than Buckley. And you're right, i expressed myself wrong (english is not my native tongue). I meant they must have the same influences him and Thom Yorke. And considering what you said, i maybe right.

Even so, i think it IS possible to be influenced by a contemporarie artist. Not to the point of changing your whole style of course. But it can help you to "put it all together".

  • @PaLiFoNk

even though you say english is not your native tongue you express yourself very well using it! :)

  • @Ceejaigh i asked a friend to help me :)

  • @PaLiFoNk

Radiohead were around before Buckley, but Thom Yorke says in an interview that he saw Buckley live in 1994 and he had a great influence on how he would sing, particularly in the Radiohead song "Fake Plastic Trees".

  • @Guitarfan1995 Did you know that Jeff Buckley went to his grave thinking that Thom Yorke hated his voice? When Yorke went to see Jeff live on september 24, 1994 he left the gig well before it ended. It bothered Jeff so much that he told his friend Chris Dowd ''I must have sucked that night''. And yea OK Computer is heavily influenced by Jeff Buckley.

  • @Dave74241

Shame. Thom probably left because he was so inspired to write Fake Plastic Trees and he had to write it before he forgot it or something, either that or he just had somehwere to be. Yorke is a genius, but an odd and unpredictable fellow by all accounts.

  • i'm crying.........................

  • jeff bello e maledetto...I love you

  • stunning

  • HELLO JACK :)

  • this song and eternal life have to be my favorites on Grace

  • @dr05guitar No doubt...I got to see him live in Denver in 94 right after he was starting to get big. It was an amzing show with alot more of a rock edge / wall of sound feel to it. I'll never forget it.

  • @AtomicProjects that's awesome... must be a great memory

  • this song name is SOOOO ironic.

  • bones mend..wounds heal...music is FOREVER! thanks for the memories "buck"..*tear*
