The Kurds in Nashville still havent changed at all.If you go to LA Virginia or other places.Its diffident they have gotten Modern.But the ones here cause of Religion havent.The new generation people cant be who they really want to be,act like they want to be but you cant,when we are what we want to be we hide it.Its because the old generation still havent hit reality.so I see what Gine means we have to take things in your own hand cause praying isnt going t work.

this guys have mistaken the islamic culture to Kurdish culture, they are very different. the Kurdish culture doesn't oppress woman nor expects them to get married early or be tied down to family duties. in the Kurdish culture woman are very free, in fact in the 20s the British and french recognized Kurdish woman from non Kurdish woman from the fact that Kurdish woman didn't wear scarfs and stood equal amongst man. these guys are Badini, the most backward Kurds. arab educated.

Very good doccumentary, As a Kurdish Canadian, I congratulate those kurds who have been successfull in Nashville. Although we hope for more, Nashville has 10 000 kurds, thus we need at least 200 doctors, 100 lawyers, 100 teachers, among kurds who are active, unfortunately we have not reached these goals yet, lets encourage every one especially our youth to take education seriously.
unfortuantely we as the kurds still donet even know that we are a nation. we still call ourselves ethnik minority. for god sake we are not ethnik minority, we are a nation.
