What is it with the French and pinball? Or is that Godard was interested in pinball, and Carax was trying to make a Godard-like film? I see pinball in a few--maybe several--early Godard films, and here it is again. I saw no pinball machines during my one trip to Paris, but that was about six years ago. I don't know if it's a French thing or just a Godard thing.
