This is the only footage I've ever seen of BTO (or reasonable facsimile since Randy Bachman isn't there) doing Freewheelin', which was actually written as a tribute to Duane Allman.
You guys aint true BTO fans if you did not realize this song shifted from Four Wheel Drive to Free Wheelin. This was a great song from the Not Fragile album, 8 track, or cassette as its been that long. But, how about a bunch of guys, (well at least three of them) who were doing this real-time back in the early 70s still rocking out today and sounding every bit as good. You wont be able to say that about the crud on the radio now. These guys rocked when I was in high school and still rock today!
@abodynut It is a mix of the 2 songs, that's for sure, but the dominant track is 4 Wheel Drive, and that is why I titled it as such. And yes, these guys rock with a furious pace. I saw these guys many times, filmed this one in 2004. Saw them a few years later and still they rock with such intensity. One of the great bands of all time.
It's amazing how many great riffs these guys had. Amazing energy from a 60 year old guy. Puts some of these youngin's to shame. I agree with the guy below about Turner having one of the 5 best soulful type voices. Very powerful and he still is doing it at 60. Wow!
Sorry kids, Bobby IS pocket tight!! Fred's voice RULES in the top 5 of ALL TIME soulful best vocalists. I had the priveledge of meeting & seeing these guys back stage in 1993 in Denver, 15 to 20 years after I'd 1st heard them on the airwaves... Every bit as energy groove oriented and a 1st rate performance. Thanks for showing the kids how it's really done! - Jim of Fourth Estate
You have good taste. I totally agree with you. My favorite Grand Funk tune is "Footstompin' Music" which is great in the same way. There's nothing like a relentless old-school hard-rock assault!
Not Fragile was my very first rock album... 2nd was Killer from Alice Cooper... the rest is history, man! Damn good stuff!

@abodynut If you recall, on the 8-track, the program number changed during the song.
