People well...(white people) use to get Sam and My Dad ( who was a Blues DJ)mixed up because my Dad used to wear a white captain hat. We both use to go see Sam when he came to Tucson back in the Day. He's up there with my Dad now Talkin' 'bout the Blues!! RIP SAM!!!
his is my grandfather!!!! Rest in peace grandpa I love and already miss you!!!! Your music will forever live on....and I will do my part to carry on the legacy and make you and my dad proud!!! I 'm soooo proud to be a TAYLOR!
If anyone knows how I can contact Sam Taylor Jr. I would very much apprecite it. He has been a friend, a father, a mentor and his music always touches my soul !!! He's the best!!!
Sam Taylor Jr. is the son of Sam "The Man" Taylor, the famous tenor saxophone player of the 50's. In my opinion, Sam Taylor Jr has one of THE most expressive voices our planet has been blessed to hear; most who have played with or heard Sam live (or recorded) would agree Sam is without peer. If you want to hear my personal favorite rendition of Damn Your Eyes, listen to Sam sing the heart and soul out of that song. Checkout his website.
Would you like to hear more great singing? Sam Taylor had a brother called Professor Charles Taylor he was a gospel singer. He's on youtube as well. Both of their voices are tremenous. I've always thought of them as the dangerous duo.
Sam taylor Jr. is my grandpa. he died last year. and i have that hat.
