They didn't cancel the prom because she *asked* if she could wear a tuxedo and bring a homosexual date - she said if you don't let me do those things, and subject everyone else to it, I will sue you. That led to it getting cancelled as they weren't about to allow everyone else to get bullied by one student demanding her own dress code and sexual behaviors to be imposed on everyone else, or have to defend their rights against a lawsuit by the bullying ACLU.

It is not a federal right or state right of hers that was violated. Just like I have the right to walk but I can not take to court if my right to walk is violated.
The school has the right to have standards for prom. Fine all animals are gay and all animals have sex in public. Does that mean I can now have sex with my wife in a parking lot? You claim animals do it so why can't I?

@SweetSoulWolf you havent got a clue, im saying that homosexuality is NATURAL, so is one animal ripping the throat from another but one hurts and the other doesnt. her rights WERE violated, thats a matter of FACT and the judge deemed it so, understand the constitution. the school can have standards but it cannot do illegal things as it DID SO.

@everyspecies Yes....because when I hear of "heterosexuals" going to prom they are not claiming to be "heterosexual"......heck they could be bisexual. I have a very good friend who is bisexual. But when a "gay" or "lesbian" is throwing the phrase around it means something more than just a label. And being gay is not natural. If they want to be gay in private that is ok and I am a firm believer in "don't ask don't tell" in ALL aspects of life.

To try to stop that is a BLATENT attack on them and I feel as though the school had the right to say no to them attending AS A COUPLE since it had NOTHING to do with the educational process at all and she was doing that at a time when it could have effected the rest of the class.

@SweetSoulWolf actually after reading up on that case seems the law was actually changed to make that a misdemenor as opposed to a felony. as i said, laws can be changed but equal protection under them is a right.
