  • 2:13 the Crack is on the monitor! and not the same one that was displayed at the end of The Eleventh Hour... that was a 'reading' this is the screen crack

This vid was uploaded the same night as the original air date of "The Eleventh Hour"... spoilers.

  • I can't believe the hatstand survived the tenth to eleventh's violent regeneration. XD

  • I HAVE GOT THAT EXACT COAT STAND!

    it's an ikea one! :D

    thanks for uploading though!

  • Lock the doors, power up to the atom accelerator, pull the dematerializing lever, engage the inertial dampers and pull the space and time throttle to adjust the speed!!!!! Yay!!

  • i wish they kept the pool in the library gag.

  • Steampunk Tardis. Best thing ever. These designers are genius.

  • what the heck! i actually thought it was bigge ron the inside!

  • Ah! You've been doing the place up a bit. I don't like it.

  • @midianallmighty Good old Patrick Troughton.

  • My favorite interior of the Tardis was a console room from the Tom Baker era, it had round paneling on the walls, brass, and stained glass windows, looked like something out of Jules Verne or H.G Wells, looked a lot like the "Steampunk" style of decorating. Unfortunately they only used that set for about a year before it was damaged in storage. As a wood worker I would love to recreate that in a room, if I had the room and an unlimited budget.

  • @OlegKostoglatov 'Which box is bigger? Doctor Who' shows what you are talking about. I liked that set too and I think since the series relaunch, the show's producers have reflected that in the TARDIS designs. My only complaint was that there were no visible controls on the console. It just looked like a centerpiece table.

  • @lkgrave There were controls actually, but as you say they were not in plain view, they were behind hinged drop down panels, it was an interesting concept to make it more like a piece of furniture. In some Tardis scenes you can see them, small jewel lights, bat switches, and so forth. In the original series the main focus wasn't in the sets and props anyhow but on the stories and the actors. Even with the newer programs most of my favorite stories were from the Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker eras,

  • @OlegKostoglatov That's probably why they stuck with the 'White Set' for most of the show. They didn't want the set to take away from the characters. That and show's limited budget.

  • @lkgrave I read somewhere that the reason why they went back to the old set after the Edwardian style one was because the Edwardian set was damaged after it was put into storage between production seasons and there wasn't time to reconstruct it.

  • @OlegKostoglatov You're probably right about that too.

  • I have to admit that although i like the new tardis design i liked the version better

  • As much as I loved the old set, this set is great too! Its a real beauty. Much bigger inside and I prefer the orangey reddish colour to the old, golden TARDIS and the controls look better as well!

  • I think its brillant that they made the TARDIS console with mechanical features and not just buttons and touchpads.

  • I think they were filming the scenes up to the explosion. Explains the red and the cracks.

  • OH YOU SEXY THING!

  • The Tardis is a lot bluer this tome round. Much more vibrant.

  • It looks like a night club. I like the old tardis. It's simpler but more elegant. Just looking at this new one makes me tired. it's more natural looking. Maybe it's just the biologist in me talking.

  • As much as I love the old design, I really do like the new tardis. It just has a really nice feel to it and the console is really stylish. Great detail and structure.

  • im making my own figure size modelm of the tardis it wont be exactly the same but its going to be good

  • Pause at 2:16 and you'll see a crack on the tardis moniter

  • @freakofwho lol yes I saw that!

  • lol at the drum pedal & horned phonograph XD

apparently there's a bathroom, library, bedrooms & a swimming pool as well :P

  • @astrotoadp6 the swimming pool was seen in "The Invasion of Time" with Tom Baker, and in "Logopolos," (also with Tom Baker) an indoor garden with benches for seating.

  • @astrotoadp6 I reckon theres a lot more besides that too if you count the classic series, all the books & the modern stuff, theres the library, bathroom & pool, sitting room, kitchen, workshops, laboratories, medical bay, gym, art gallery, cloisters (including the cloister room & Eye of Harmony link), power / engine rooms, protyon core (where the block transfer matrix / central core for the artron mainframe is), living quarters, another 2 console rooms, wardrobe, zero room & who knows what else!

  • I love it :-)

  • While this console room is better than the 9th/10th Doctor's room, I think the console and the room itself are waaay too cluttered. One thing about the 1963 to 1989 console rooms that was good was the simplicity of design. Even the 4th's alternate was beautiful, but simple. I think this is good because the characters and their interaction stand out better without the visual clutter.

  • the best tardis ever

  • It's like a much brighter version of the TARDIS when Paul McCann had the job

  • @DrWhoFreak100 But that was my absolute favorite console room that the 7th built and the 8th inherited. The leather bound monitor on the 11ths console looks like it came from the 8ths.

  • Love The Pinball MAchine

  • theres a swing sweet

  • I liked the older one better..

  • @Maadmaesteo I totally agree with u. It like they found wat thes could and mash it together. To me it looks a little kiddish with all the flashing lights the old one at least looked high tech. Also when dose the dr ever were a hat. Anyway we'll just half to live with it and I must say that picking Matt smith wasn't the best choice. Out of all the dr.'s the last 2 were the best.

  • @Ichigogrimjaw Now now, the coat/hat stand has never left the TARDIS.

  • @Ichigogrimjaw When did the Doctor wear a hat? The first, second, fourth, fifth, and seventh Doctors all wore a hat from time to time.

  • @WC3POchannel10A Third also wore one briefly in "Spearhead from Space" (his debut) but that is the only time his outfit has a hat. It's later discarded.

Eighth also considered one rummaging through the lockers, but discarded it in favor of the rest of the Wild Bill Hickcock outfit that he wears in the story.

  • @jadewarlock Now, that you mention it, I do recall. I stand corrected. :-) Even the 5th Doctor wore his again when meeting the 10th. Though, it seemed odd that he turned the brim up on the back. I think I remember reading that Peter was not fond of wearing it, which is why we did not see it much. Too bad. I loved the look.

  • @Ichigogrimjaw This looks MUCH more High-Tech, the and found what they could and mashed it together? DT's had a GLOCKENSPHIEL on it!

  • Through the years I've been used to changes in Who...but, man!...you fked up here alright...no sense of shape, space or uniformity...a fking mish-mash of a laff-riot!!

  • did you notice - the phone is gone from the inside of the front doors ??

  • @jakeh1470 It was put back for the series starting!

  • Not a fan of the new tardis at all, too studio looking or comic book like the sarah jane adventures - same with his new opening titles..! the old battle scared grungy version tardis was better along with the music used in the "trip of a lifetime" eccleston easter egg promo..moffett is trying too hard to draw new fans in- forget the glossy bits and write some good stories !!

  • @jakeh1470 Stephen Moffat write good stories? No problem there...

  • @ecyor0 I agree, great writer great ideas no bother there..but shouldnt have given the old girl a make over wasnt needed & as for the new daleks - god almighty how can kids fear something out of a box of smarties !

  • This has to be one of the best Tardis i have seen. Can't wait to see the new rooms and levels.

  • it's ok

  • I like the old ones too but this is the best ever inside TARDIS ever.

  • ... wow. I like.

  • uhh... I don't like .... Its dangerous, the console is shit, the time rotor looks like a waterpipe, and this red light......eeeh....

the old 2005-2010 TARDIS was better...

  • @RockerHU spot on mate ..its crap and would have made more sense to have it in worse condition than before with bits dropping off here and there ...bring back the war torn version !!

  • Comment removed

  • i like it nice job

  • Love it! I love the new TARDIS! She's beautiful!! I love that they've got the Gallifreyan Text above the door, and the hat stand! Brilliant! I loved that hat stand! He he. :D And the new Time Rotor is gorgeous, and all the glass on the floor. Wow! Eleven was right, she is sexy! :D

She kind of reminds me a little bit of Eight's TARDIS, in that's it much bigger and lots more inside. :D Lovely indeed. Thanks so much for posting this here!
