Repentance and Forgiveness is not a one time thing, you must practice it wholeheartedly your entire life to be saved.

@TheArchguy1 What I mean is that no matter how hard we try to obey Jesus's word, it's not enough to earn us salvation. We try to obey Jesus's word and we fail.
Think of it like this: we are already dead at the bottom of the ocean so we cannot do anything that would save us, but because of Jesus's obedience to the Father, some of us are brought back to life.
3. Having been filled with the Holy Ghost, repentant of your sins, you are free to live a consecrated life. meaning that you truly give up anything and everything worldly that does not serve God.
Paul said, "I die daily" and going further states that You will continue to sin in the body, even after being filled with the Holy Ghost. But this is not for your lack of trying but rather the flesh you live in (your physical body) that keeps sinning. therefore you MUST ALWAYS BEING REPENTANT.
and make you speak in another tongue and more so, your spirit, which is dead until then (spirit and soul are two different things, for explanation contact me) will come to life and reconnect with God, Just as it was in the begining with adam and eve - until they ate of the fruit.
Baptism has TWO PARTS! First of the water, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins. AND the second when Jesus, as the HOLY SPIRIT, or COMFORTER , rests upon and LIVES in you. EVERY apostle and believer in the Bible (new testament) has had this happen. IT DID NOT JUST GO AWAY PEOPLE, IT'S STILL A REQUIREMENT TODAY! The sign of being baptized in the Holy Ghost is the speaking of tongues, not some made up gibberish you feel like shouting, but God will take control of YOU
2. You must be Baptized in the name JESUS CHRIST, if you dispute this, you have not read your Bible as thoroughly as you claim. The importance of this first scripture is that it clearly states the NECESSITY for baptism, you cannot have one without the other.

You do not need to be baptized to be accepted in the kingdom of God. All you need to do is believe in Jesus, change from your evil ways, and truly repent.

There was not a single apostle or saint in the Bible, The New Testament, that was not baptized. Praise Jesus I used to be an atheist until I called out to GOD to save me, and now he speaks to me inside my Soul. Because I accepted Christ, I was fired from my medical research job when God showed me I no longer need to test hypothesis or calibrate tools to find the data in my research. I became twice as productive at work and saved my department tons of money. Still I got Terminated because I love Jesus.
A lot of ppl say that Atheists hate christians the most because we "attack" them and get reallly defensive when the topic of God comes up. But if someone dissed your dad, would you just be like "it's okay i'll pray for you."? I wouldn't. I'd be all up in that person's face and make him/her take it back. that's why we christians are so defensive. we don't want ppl dissing our father, God.
First thing... Don't base Christianity on one thing, because in truth they should have reported him because it is the law and the bible specifically states that we are to abide by the governments laws. Don't judge all Christians on that. @atheistdawn That's not entirely true. Hillsong came about when Frank Houston's church merged with Hills Christian Life Centre (his son's church). When he found out about what his father had done, he sacked him. I think that with any movement/organisation as big as the church, there are going to be problems arise from time to time. I mean the whole point of Christianity is that it embraces everyone, from those who have got everything right, to those who seem to fall at every hurdle.

God cannot be tied down to one set way of viewing the world, the core of Him is LOVE. A love so deep, so wide that slavery, abuse, murder and crushing of the human spirit is NOT OKAY. @atheistdawn are rules regarding slavery, but these were made to protect people who sold themselves into slavery in return for food/shelter/clothing etc. when they were too poor to take care of themselves.

What some atheists don't consider is the personal evidence of the existence of God. The stuff that can't be measured and that doesn't discount it: there are many things that cannot be measured but still exist.

Hey, i'm so glad that these songs make you feel happy. Everytime i praise and worship the Lord, i feel calm and loved. And it's like a love so great that i could not feel from any other source. As well as the joy that comes with it. Everytime i see a fellow brother or sister in Christ getting baptised, it gives me so much joy. And as human beings, we are made to be loved by Him, and we are made to rejoice with Him.
@666schwarz we all need someone to guide us and that someone is God through his holy spirit. You can get more out of the song than just feeling good. If you follow through and accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour you will have an eternal guide, an eternal friend, eternal life and hope and faith. God loves you! @WHEREStHEl0VEx3 I think the hardest thing about being a christian is trying to teach others about Jesus. My best friend believes but doesn't want anything to do with giving his heart over to Jesus. It's so0 hard to be around him sometimes I really want him like so many others to find God. It's hard to watch people go through there lives and not have him in there heart. My buddy I think was disappointed the day I came to the lord. He knew I wasn't the same after that. Now I am forever changed.

Worship isn't just for church guys. I love just having me and God time whenever I can. I'm working on losing weight, I've lost 8 pounds so far... Think of it like this: we are already dead at the bottom of the ocean so we cannot do anything that would save us, but because of Jesus's obedience to the Father, some of us are brought back to life.

Don't base Christianity on one thing, because in truth they should have reported him because it is the law and the bible specifically states that we are to abide by the governments laws. Don't judge all Christians on that. When he found out about what his father had done, he sacked him. I think that with any movement/organisation as big as the church, there are going to be problems arise from time to time. I mean the whole point of Christianity is that it embraces everyone, from those who have got everything right, to those who seem to fall at every hurdle.

God cannot be tied down to one set way of viewing the world, the core of Him is LOVE. A love so deep, so wide that slavery, abuse, murder and crushing of the human spirit is NOT OKAY. That's why Jesus died: to set our spirits free. I don't know how everything plays into the big picture, but I know this: You are treasure, you are loved.

@atheistdawn are rules regarding slavery, but these were made to protect people who sold themselves into slavery in return for food/shelter/clothing etc. when they were too poor to take care of themselves.
Your point about committing any vile act without punishment is a complicated one, but in a nutshell the idea is obviously that you must be truly sorry for the act and seek to change your ways. I'm not sure what sort of punishment you would like, but to quote Gandhi "An eye for an eye only...

This leads to your next point about sin and guilt. Yes we are sinful, even your most ardent atheist wouldn't disagree with that, but I'm sure you already know that the point of the death of the carpenter/God is that the guilt is taken away. We don't need to feel it. Why is that a bad thing?

@atheistdawn that is of course subjective. I'm not going to argue about science as I'm sure you know that there is evidence, but no proof either way. What some atheists don't consider is the personal evidence of the existence of God. The stuff that can't be measured and that doesn't discount it: there are many things that cannot be measured but still exist.
I'm not sure what point your trying to make with your peasants comment, or if you're just trying to be inflammatory, so I will leave that...

I will agree with you to an extent with the religion saying. As soon as we start just accepting things that people/religions/leaders say without first scrutinising them, we become nothing but a puppet.

Hey, i'm so glad that these songs make you feel happy. Everytime i praise and worship the Lord, i feel calm and loved. And it's like a love so great that i could not feel from any other source. As well as the joy that comes with it. Everytime i see a fellow brother or sister in Christ getting baptised, it gives me so much joy. @666schwarz we all need someone to guide us and that someone is God through his holy spirit. You can get more out of the song than just feeling good. If you follow through and accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour you will have an eternal guide, an eternal friend, eternal life and hope and faith. God loves you! This song just reminds me of how weak we really are, we're just little humans roaming around an earth that God made out of nothing and here comes our struggles everyday. God sees them as so small, yet important because He hates to see us hurting.. Sometimes Jesus just needs to break us down so much that we have no choice but to let go, and let God. We can't do this on our own, but that's why our Daddy-God comes to our rescue! <3

But it's good because it seems the weaker and the more humble I get, the closer I seem to be with Jesus! @WHEREStHEl0VEx3 I think the hardest thing about being a christian is trying to teach others about Jesus. My best friend believes but doesn't want anything to do with giving his heart over to Jesus. It's so0 hard to be around him sometimes I really want him like so many others to find God. It's hard to watch people go through there lives and not have him in there heart. My buddy I think was disappointed the day I came to the lord. He knew I wasn't the same after that. Now I am forever changed.

Don't give up!! Keep pounding on the door until it is answered. And I am SOO glad that you joined the family! Remember, in john 15:18-21. The world hates us and persecutes us because they did the same (and worse) to Jesus. We are the ones that continue to echo His love.don't lose hope!

Worship isn't just for church guys. I love just having me and God time whenever I can. I'm working on losing weight, I've lost 8 pounds so far... I believe that's because I'm more hungry and thirsty for Jesus.. than anything this world has to offer. I'm so honored and so blessed to serve God. I am an undeserving person, that the King of Kings would lay down His life for my sin! Just listening to this song,I found myself on my knees, hands lifted high, shedding tears in awe of the one who saves.
